Eating all around Epcot.

On our Epcot day, we'll be arriving a little after we fill up at Chef Mickey's for Breakfast... we're going to hit Future World until early afternoon and then start world showcase.... planning to start at Mexico and make the round to the last country (Canada I think).

We'll probably get the rumbly tumblys around now so I thought it would be kindof fun to take advantage of all of the delicious cuisine and instead of making an ADR for one restaurant, we'd pick up little snacks or split a CS meal from all of the countries.

So what do you think is not to miss in each country that we should give a try?

We love the pastries in France and the fish and chips in England. I want to try some beer and brats in Germany too...

We too love the pastries in France, the tacos and nachos in Mexico, the egg rolls in China, the gelato in Italy. I'm getting hungry

Mexico - margaritas and snacks at La Cava de Tequila - the crab tostadas are my favorite!

Norway - cloudberry horns (a light pastry with creamy filling), also saw someone get a sandwich from Kringla (not sure which one) and it looked amazing

Germany - beer, brats, and pretzels; caramel popcorn from the new caramel shop

Morocco - love the shawarma platter from Tangeriene cafe - chicken or lamb with a yogurt sauce, tabbouleh, couscous, hummus, and Moroccan bread

France - pastries and espresso from Boulangerie Patisserie, Pomegranate Kiss or Grey Goose Slushie from the little cart

Fish and chips from UK used to be on my list but they weren't great this time. Have fun eating around the world!

I'm really interested in this also. We've always done TS at Epcot, but this year we're staying at BCV so we'll be able to go to Epcot daily and just grab a quick meal or snack. Is there a CS at Japan, or is it just the Hibachi restaurant (I'm forgetting the name)? I would love sushi for a snack or meal but we really don't want to spend time with TS this next trip.

We have eaten at the CS in China and wasn't that impressed, but that's the only CS we've tried there. As far as snacks, we usually get a pastry in France to eat while waiting for Illuminations and they are all good, gran marnier drink there is wonderful, school bread in Norway is also good. I've seen pics of the sweet prezels there and I definitely want to try one this year. We did not like the pretzel at Biergarten at all, but we went to Germany this summer and the pretzels there were very much like those at Epcot... authentic or not, I wouldn't waste the money or calories on them though

Mexico: Margaritas
Norway: school bread, cream horns...
Italy: Chocolate from the store, gelato
America: Skip
Japan: Sushi, and snacks from the store (to take home)
Morocco: the platter (cant think of the name but it has lamb and everything
on it...yum)
France: Anything from the bakery
Germany: Pretzel and a beer, gingerbread cookie for DD
UK: Fish and chips
Canada: Used to be beaver tails before they took them away ( now just an
aero bar to take home

mmmm...now I can't wait to get to Epcot and grazt through the world showcase

These are some great suggestions so far! The Tangierine cafe is a definite stop for schwarma! We love lamb gyros- is it anything like a gyro?

The gelato sounds good too- does anyone know what flavors are available and do they sell italian ice?

The CS in Japan is Yakitori House. They have a couple of selections for sushi. The atmosphere on their outdoor patio is wonderful. We love sitting out there for a break, if it isn't too hot.

They also have delicious udon soup! The sushi was so-so (pre-packaged rolls), but the udon soup was great!
