Personally - yuck! I can not stand the slimy taste of raw oysters.

BUT! It drives me crazy that the government is getting involved because 15 people die each year from eating them. On average 70 people die each year from being struck by lightning, and the government is not banning us from going outside - yet.

Use some personal responsibility, and some brain cells. You know there are risks and you know that the risks are relatively low. Let them eat oysters.
