Hi there! This will be our first trip "Home" since the Millenium Celebration. The Food & Wine Festival is not new to us, but the eat to the beat concerts are. I see that there is more than one show per day, is there one showtime that's better/less crowded than the others? I'd like to catch one or 2 of these concerts while I'm there but don't want to have to be packed in like cattle. :crowded:

Go to the early one. We wait in the Liberty Inn outside seating area until the throngs are released and then go in after the line has died down. A lot of people don't realize there is even a concert series going on.

Some people wait in a line up to 2 hours before show time to get the FRONT ROW seats! :earseek: I have no idea why, as there is good viewing all over, even IN the BACK! :confused3

I always go to the last show. In my experience, it's the least crowded.
Even if you end up with standing room in the back, it's not bad for the 30 minutes!
Who are you gonna try to see?
Enjoy! :sunny:

Some of us (me) needs to be up close to see them. :rotfl: Then again, sitting in the back remembering what they used to look like in the 1960s/1970s wouldn't be bad either. :teeth:

I'm planning on going to see the Beach Boys! I expect all of there concert times to be busy.

Very very few of these shows will fill the theater. Possible exception the Beach Boys.

I think I agree that the 3rd is probably least crowded as most people are worried about getting a spot for seeing Illuminations. (Something that in my opiinion is totally unnecessary.)

I LOVED Kool & The Gang last year!
They are at the F & W fest Oct. 10 - 13.
They are fun & high energy. You'll know every word to every song!!! :sunny:

Oh yes indeed, there are concerts!!! :cool1:

While I love the EAT to the Beat Concerts, we never go in, we are usually eating Lobster Corn Chowder, Cheddar Crab Cake with Slaw and a Tokyo Roll with some Wine. Just outside the America Gardens Theatre.

THANKS!!!! :flower:

Now here's another question... If we go to the last show, and we stay in there for Illuminations, will we have a good view? I can't remember the last time we were in the theater to know whether you can or not. :confused3 Thanks again!

klwdisney, you can't see Illuminations from the seats in the American Gardens theatre, besides, they clear it after the last show.

The last show will end at about 8:45 and as Otter49 said earlier, you really don't have to stake out a spot for Illuminations. There will always be a good view, even if it's not right up against the fence.

If you go just to the left of the theatre, near Japan, you will get a very close view of the earth globe and be able to see it when it starts moving out into the lagoon. That's pretty cool.

If you go to the right of the theatre, the view from Italy is awesome, especially if you can get onto the area over the little bridges. That area is sometimes reserved for events though.

OK, I've officially given away all my secrets!
Enjoy! :sunny:

We've only ever seen the fireworks portion of Illuminations. I can't tell you how many times we've staked out a spot and waited patiently only to have people push in front of us at the last minute when they're clearing people and it ruins our view of the globe. :(
