Eat to the Beat question

This will be my first time at Epcot during Food & Wine so I'm not sure how some things work. I read that the show times for eat to the beat are 5:15, 6:30 and 7:45 p.m. However there's only one band per day, so do they play 3 mini concerts?

Can you go to all three or do you have to leave once each ends?

I thought it was one performance each day so now I'm a little confused...

The band will do 3 sets, approx 30 minutes each, during the evening.
You can attend all 3 if you want, but I believe they will clear the theatre between shows.

Disney just announced a time change on the sets. They are now 5:30, 6:45, and 8:00.

Disney does clear the America Gardens Theatre after each show.:)

A new queue forms for each show.:)

I've gone to all 3 shows for some performers. Yes, the Disney CMs sometimes come around to shoo me out. If so, I just wander over to sit on the wall of the fountain at the American Adventure until they start letting people in for the next show.

Thank you everyone!

I had no idea about the new times, that is nice to know.

I guess I'll try to see all the concerts, though the thought of waiting 45 min between each one in line to get a good spot doesn't sound too appealing. I guess I'll wait in line for the first one and if it's good enough I'll stay for the others, If not I'll just listen to it from a distance and do something else between each concert.

Thanks again! :goodvibes

I suggest seeing the last two shows if you want to get in line to get a seat up front as if it's a popular group there could be people getting in line as early as 2pm.The first show is also the most crowded.

You won't wait in line 45 minutes between shows. Even if you line up immediately after one set, they often load as soon as 30 minutes before the next one. So your wait might be as short as 10 or 15 minutes.

They only keep the theater empty long enough for CMs to walk it picking up trash and looking for guest property left behind.

Depending on the group you may have to see all 3 shows to hear all their hits. I know that was the case with Starship since they've been around so long. We have found though that we can usually find a seat even up to just a few minutes before the show. It might be in the back but you can still see and hear ok. Again it depends on the popularity of the group. Usually even if you can't find a seat if you stay in the general area you can still hear pretty well. Just find a bench close to the theatre. Hoping we can make it this year but due to a change in family circumstances our big plan to be retired and living there by then have been delayed for the foreseeable future.

Oh wow, 2pm?? That's insane! Thanks for the tip. That sounds like a good idea, it would save me the huge wait for the first concert.

I thought it would take longer. That's a little better I guess, thanks for explaining!

I guess I'll be sticking around the whole time then. I would like to be able to listen to all the songs, even if I can't be in the theater. The concerts I want to see are the Hanson ones, so I'm thinking they are going to be pretty popular? I don't know. I'll be able to go on both days so maybe I'll try good seats on one and just listen from the American pavilion on the other.

I'm sorry about the delay in your retirement and move, I hope everything works out and you are able to make it there this year!

I went to all 3 shows of Hanson one night last year, got in line about two hours before the first, then swung around to the end of the line after each show. We got great seats for the first show and ones in the back for the other two. They are pretty popular but 2pm isn't necessary for them.

The biggest lines I've seen at a Food and Wine or Flower and Garden concert have been for the Beach Boys and Boyz II Men,I think if you showed up to make the line at 2pm for those shows you still wouldn't have been near the front of the line.Keep in mind the theater does hold a lot of people and even if the line looks huge you might still be able to walk into the theater after the whole line gets seated and get a decent seat, many times I've seen lines that look ridiculously long and after it all gets seated the theater is no more than 1/2-2/3 full.

Totally agree. And keep in mind, a "decent seat" is pretty much anywhere in the theatre.

I would say to head back about an hour before the show, check things out, and then maybe do something in the nearby pavilions. Come back once the lines are moving.

Yes, there are die hard fans that will be in those lines hours before a performance but if you just want to enjoy yourself, you don't have to stand in line for hours. Let that fall to the others.
