Hi,

This will be our first time at the Food and Wine Festival and I wanted to catch Starship. If we don't make it in time to get seats is it possible to still hear the music if you're close by? Is it pretty loud?!

Thanks

You'll have no problems hearing. We have been to many - some very crowded and others not so crowded. We have sat on the ledge surrounding the fountain right in front of the American Adventure (it's directly across the promenade from the stage) and could hear very well. Also, remember that each night there are three performances, so if you don't catch one, you can plan to get there early enough for the others.

TiggMan said it all.
No problem hearing the music from the surrounding area. And the shows are about 30 minutes each, and there are 3 a night, so you may be able to get into a later show with little wait.

Starship is excellent.

Absolutely no shows for the lesser known groups will fill - simply the way it is at Eat to the Beat.

You'll be able to walk up at show starting time and get a good seat.

Brilliant, thanks everyone!

Both times we have been there ( Starship 2 years ago and Three Dog Night last year) the seating filled pretty early before show time. We either stood outside the roped off area or sat on a brick planter by the American Pavillion. Starship's pretty good, although it's just Mickey Thomas now, no Grace Slick or anything. Three Dog Night on the other hand, was pretty close to the real thing, we had seen them in concert about a year prior, they sounded identical to the show in our home town, actually better because our Civic Center's accoustics suk.

We went to the Three Dog Night Concert last year and had a blast. We had front row seats and got to go and meet with the lead singer afterwards (Ok, he is a buddy of mine).

It was a great concert and should not be missed. The ironic thing is that due to a scheduling problem, we can't go to the one this year, and, they are playing a gig about 40 miles from me while we will be at WDW in a few weeks. :(

TDN still rocks!
