Do you have to book seats for the Eat to the Beat bands or can you just pitch up and watch the band? When I try to add eat to the beat on My Disney Experience, it says it can’t be added (no dates). Don’t want a meal as already have a booking at Garden Grill that evening, just wanted to watch the band.

Thanks

depending on the show you want to see, they can be full or have plenty of room. We rarely get in the standby line, so I don't know how early you need to be there to get a seat (again depends on the band). 30 minutes before,I have seen huge lines and next to no line.
We have stood in the back, 4 or 5 rows deep and we have walked in and had our choice of seats.
If it is a group you really want to see, I would be near the standby area and get in line when it starts to grow.

I've never even had to sit in the theater to enjoy a band that is playing there. You can stand anywhere along the back of the theater and see/hear perfectly. We don't like to do any QS or TS meals during Food and Wine because we like to try as much from the booths as possible, but I do like to see many of the bands. The concerts are never very long so it has always been very comfortable to just stand outside the theater and watch. We have watched a few concerts from inside the theater but I honestly would not waste time waiting in line unless you really feel like you need a seat.

We also usually watch the concerts from outside the theatre also. ENJOY!:yay:

Who are you going to see? That will help people answer the question.

Thanks everyone - it’s Smash Mouth (as we’re there on the 13th). Was hoping to see the 5.30 show if possible as my DD is 8 and hasn’t been to a “concert” so thought it would be fun for her to see a band. I was at Iron Maiden on Saturday night but that’s a bit loud for her lol!

Seeing and hearing is definitely possible even if you just walk up. If you want to sit under cover in the front of the theatre, though, you'll want to be sure to arrive early. In my experience, most of the bands have a little crew of groupies who come specifically to hear them and show up for every performance. These people are ALL IN and make sure to get the front section. They make the shows kind of fun, too, because they get really into the music.

We saw Smash Mouth year before last and enjoyed them! Be sure and play some of their hits for your DD, so she'll make the connection...they sounded great!

Oh that’s good to hear. I’ve played her All Star and she thought it was fun so should be something a bit different for her to do that day.

Thanks
