Eat at Shulas or Yachtsman Steakhouse?

I fancy getting a good steak meal while we are at Disney. I have already booked Le Cellier but want another. I have not eaten at Shulas - anyone have any thoughts on it? Not done Yachtsman since 2000 so if anyone has been more recently (or to both!) I would welcome their thoughts.

Thanks!

We went to the Yachtsman in 2005 and had a lovely meal but for October we are thinking of going to Shula's as it is meant to be very good and also as a new placed for us to explore :)

We've never eaten at Yachtsman's Steakhouse (although we're putting that right in August and have made an ADR). We ate at Shula's in January, 2006. It's right up our street, but it certainly wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. It's very "gentlemen's club" - all oak panels, cigars and fancy wine. To be honest, our server was a bit starchy, but we're not easily intimidated! The quality of the steak isn't in question, so if that's your priority you can't go wrong.

Quailty of steak is what I was thinking of Deb - do you know if you make ADRs in the same way as Disney restaurants?

Haven't been for a couple of years - before Lucy was born - but when we lats went to Shula's it was exceptional: simple but excellent quality ingredients, relaxed very professional service, quiet and adult ambience.

I am toying with the idea of going to Shula's this September - does anyone know if children are or are not allowed? I know it is a very adult environment, but Lucy is incredibly well behaved (knows that bad behaviour is not tolerated) and has eaten and many upscale restaurants in this country.

According to Shula's website, you need to call 407-934-1362 for reservations. I thought it was possible to book all Swan and Dolphin restaurants online, but I can't see that option now - that's certainly what we've done whenever we've eaten at bluezoo. Shula's has a nice website, if you haven't already seen it. You could try e-mailing dining@swandolphin.com

Alice, when we ate there we in a small ante-room (probably around half a dozen tables). There was a family with two young (and immaculately behaved) children.

Thank you. Think that we will go then - She may be young, but Lucy knows when she is somewhere special (I like to dress her up extra specially). I like to think that she is growing up knowing how to behave in all types of environment. Will warn the restaurant, when I phone to make the reservation, that we have a little one in tow and she will definitely be perfectly behaved - I don't like to impact on any of the other diner's experience (at least not in a bad way...).
