Eat at Mythos or Three Broomsticks?

We would like a nice meal our first day at IOA. Mythos or Three Broomsticks?

We've been to Mythos before and enjoyed it very much. We are huge HP fans and will go to the 3B one way or another, even if it is just to have a butterbeer. So basically my question is which has better food?

If we do go to Mythos, is it likely that WWOHP will be so crowded on Thursday afternoon (5/12) that we couldn't even enter the area to snack at 3B?

Personally, I think Mythos has better food. It is a full serve restaurant where TB is counter service. I don't think the crowds will be bad on May 12 and you should be able to go into TB for a snack or drink.

It really depends on the kind of meal you want. Broomsticks is NOT a table service meal like Mythos is, it is counter service. While Broomsticks was good, I personally would rather eat someplace else. As much as I love Harry Potter, the food was sort of a let down. I will be trying it again next trip to order something else, but I would go with Mythos since you have enjoyed it in the past and they offer a bigger selection of food.

As far as getting into the area after Mythos, I am not sure what the crowds have been like. It is possible that you might not be able to get into the area during the peak of the afternoon (noon-3 maybe). However, you do have many options when it comes to getting into the area. You could wait in the standby line, get a return time (like a Disney Fastpass) or just wait until the evening. The Harry Potter area at night is simply amazing and looks so much better when the sun goes down. Based on our past trips, you can normally get into the area without a wait starting around 5 or so which will allow you time to get a light snack at the 3 Broomsticks for a light dinner. Enjoy!

I agree entirely...but Broomsticks it's worth a stop also and alot of fun.

Definitely worth checking out... along with the pub next door. Just not worth actually eating a meal there.

Even though I think Mythos does get a bit over hyped at times (for instance, we prefer Finnegan's), I don't think the 3 Broomsticks is comparable even though I do enjoy eating there on occasion.

My kids think Mythos has the best theme park food! We usually eat there as an early dinner.

Broomsticks is cool and we enjoy it for lunch.

We ate at both last week and by far Mytho's was better. We did not care at all for the fish & chips at 3 Broomsticks and it was so much more crowded than Mytho's.
