We have adr at chef mickey's our first morning there Dec.2 at 8:40 am. But want to get to MK early enough to have enough of the day there. We will only be in WDW for 3 full days. I'm wondering if we should skip the breakfast. THough my DD11 is so looking forward to it. What to do??Any sugg.?

If you really want to do Chef Mickey's, my thought would be to see if you can get an ADR for dinner instead.

That way you could spend all day in the park, hop over to the CR for dinner, then hop back in time for the nighttime festivities.

Another idea would be to see if there are any breakfast ADRs earlier, say 7-7:30.

I was also going to suggest a late dinner at Chef Mickeys. Or how about an early bkfst at Crystal Palace and then you'll already be at the Magic Kingdom.

I always think that it is best to be at MK as soon as it opens (actuallly before) because you can get on sooooo many rides in that first hour or two. I would really try to move the ressie to much earlier or see about a dinner ressie. If you could get an early dinner (about 4 ish depending on when they open) then you will be ready for a break, and can be back in time for the nighttime activities.

Why does DD really want to do this meal? Just to meet certain characters? You can see Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale at Liberty Tree Tavern in MK and I really like the "thanksgiving style" meal served there for dinner (no characters at lunch). The Pooh characters at Crystal Palace are also fun for a really late breakfast, or lunch or dinner.

A dinner ressie would have you traveling twice, though, and losing park time both times. Try for breakfast early enough for your liking. Buffets are good because, except for making sure you see the characters, you can get in and out at your own pace. If you're not staying at the Contemporary, consider getting a cab to breakfast so you don't have to get to a park and then transfer to a bus or monorail to the hotel - all moot if you have your own car, of course.

I will say that breakfast at Chef Mickey's was my DDs first character meal and she still talks about it 4 years later. :) Crystal Palace is a nice alternative if your kids would enjoy those characters and don't mind meeting Mickey and friends at Meet and Greet lines instead of at a meal.......

Thanks for all the suggestions!!! I love this board!!! I like the idea of Chef Mickey's at around 4:00. Hope I can get it!! :cool1:
