Easy WDW Crowd Calendars

Did they stop doing crowd calendars on their site? I used those for my last 2 trips and thought they were great, but I'm looking now and the last update was over a year ago.

No more crowd calendars. Josh said it had become impossible to estimate crowds because WDW changes staffing depending on the crowds. So, if it's supposed to be a little slower, they may only have one side of the line operating or fewer CMs to direct / manager guests. Also, with all the events to fill in dead times at WDW, there aren't a lot of slow times anymore.

Yea, Josh stopped a long time ago .
They are kind of useless now .................its just always crowded !
Even if it doesn't "feel" crowded, the lines always are due to staffing .
Thanks to all this planning Disney makes us do .........they KNOW what the crowds will be like on any given day and adjust staffing accordingly !

I think that Josh posted some general rules that you can follow such as avoiding extra magic hours unless you are going to use them, but the idea of one park being empty while others are busy is long gone. We are going at the end of July which use to be the busy season but last summer it was one of the slowest. Plus Disney has been changing hours around closer to the date and adding extra magic hours making any predictions at 180 days guesses at best....

I used to love his calendars but I understand why he stopped. A good touring plan once you're in the park is the most valuable thing these days.

Sad to see his calenders go, but totally understand why. No one can really predict when Disney is going to run with less staff and we know Disney won't share that information.
Josh has had some really great advice lately on how to make the most of your time, whether its an extra event or RD

If you look a few blog posts back (maybe a page or two) he has a post with all the weeks ranked by wait times. Not sure if you're flexible on weeks but if so, it's worth checking out.
