Easy Resource for Pin Trading Basics?

Hi, all. I'm looking for a good sticky or thread or website that will cover the basics of pin trading. I can't seem to find anything basic for those of us just getting started.

(At this point, I'm interested in letting dd5 and ds3 trade pins on our next trip. Nothing fancy. Not looking for collectibles or rare pins or anything special. Of course, that is until I myself, despite my best intentions, become addicted...)

Or maybe it's all so simple, I don't need to read anything: Buy lanyards. Buy a lot of pins on ebay (from an approved seller on the thread that tracks such things...). Put 10 or so pins on each child's lanyard. Kids can approach any CM and offer to trade pins. We'll come home with the same number of pins we arrived with. (Assuming, of course, we don't give in to temptation and buy any.) Am I on track here? Is there anything else I should know?

Looking forward to starting a new tradition! ;)

The official Disney resource is here

Simple rules: Kids can trade from any lanyard (green is for kids only). You may not trade a CM for a pin already on their lanyard (ie they have toddler jasmine you can't give them a toddler jasmine for something else on their lanyard). Wait your turn (if the CM has a line of customers, most nice pin traders wait in line, though you may seem some that feel entitled to push in front). Say please and thank you. Do not touch the CM or their lanyard, they will hold it out for you if you ask to see it. I think that's about it :goodvibes
