We are going in October, myself(42), 2 kids and my parents. We will be staying off-grounds and will have a rental car. We will both (myself and my dad) be on the rental agreement, so both of us could drive. Some days (at least two) we will do seperate activities. Specifically, one of the MK and one MGM days we (myself and kids) will go to the parks while Grandma and Grandpa will probably drive to the beach. My Dad has never been to Orlando and he is not great with directions, he also WILL NOT ask for directions (he does not speak fluent English, but he can communicate, but refuses to do so). Here is my dilemma: We are arriving on Saturday, will go to dinner at Whispering Canyon that night, and next morning he has to drop us off at MGM and pick us up at about 8 pm. What will be easiest way to do that and not having him lost in the Magical World of Disney forever? It may not be so magical for him!!!
On Thursday we are going to split again and we will need to be at MK at 8 am for our AR at CRT. Than of course he will have to pick us up again. Or should I just take a cab? Would Beach Club be easy enough for them to meet us at? Or should we meet every time at the same spot, like Contemporary and just go from there? What do you think?

Just a suggestion. I don't know where you are staying offsite but if it's along Highway 192, the main way to get to Disney World (and it's very marked) is World Drive. He could drive to the Fanstasia Miniature Golf parking lot. Just follow the signs to the Epcot resorts (NOT to Epcot!!!!). He'd come off World Drive and make an immediate left. The golf course is very visable from the road. He can just pull into the lot there. From the parks, you could take the Swan bus and then walk over to the course. He can't miss the exit, the Dolphin hotel has a couple of huge dolphins on top of it and the Swan has a couple of huge swans on top of it. It's right after you go past the Twilight Zone display in the median.

The golf parking lot is not manned or gated so he could easily park there to wait for you. And if you get there early, there's a nice playground and beach area at the Swan near there for your kids to play.

I think this may work! I think it would be pretty easy for him to find Dolphin or Miniature Golf, I just don't want him to have to venture too far into the "World" specially on the first day. Thank you for your suggestion!
