easy, non messy Christmas craft to make

Candy cane reindeers are cute, and really simple to do so maybe that is too easy. All you have to do is put on google eyes and pipe cleaners antlers.
You could make origami ornaments.

felt trees:

last year we made ornaments by cutting two felt tree shapes and quick stiching them together (i did this very quickly) leaving enough room to stuff...then finish stiching. Then my daughter decorated the trees by glueing colored buttons on it, with a star button on top. She did a whole batch in no time and they are cute ornaments. You could also take a frame and glue a single felt tree to the mat then decorate.

because I spend way (WAY) too much time on twopeas... nakscrap has a ton of the cutest xmas ornaments I have ever seen and someone scraplifted and made disney ones... they are really easy. just need the clear plastic/glass (?) ornaments from michael's and scrap paper. roll your scrap paper up and put it in the ornament and then use rubons on the outside. here's a link to my disney tigger one.... maggie

and the link to the one that I scrap lifted...

and if you do a search of christmas ornaments in the gallery, there are a bunch more that are really cute...

good luck, maggie

ps: my 9yr old dd and her friend had a blast making these today

I made door decorations for the hospital patients my sister works with. I used the colored foam shapes and letters you can buy at Michaels/JoAnn/Wal-Mart. The foam kits are easy for kids and only need glue and a scissors in addition to the foam. They were a hit at the hospital!

Princess Snow that is a wonderful project you did with the patients! I bet their day was truly brightened by that activity Bless you & your sister!

Thanks, Rebecca. I'm happy if the decorations made a difference for just one person. I recommend this craft because you don't have to be particularly artistic to make a cute decoration. Making so many of them wasn't a chore for me--it was really fun!
