My DD is doing a report on Italy and wants to take some type of food that will be easy to make to share with her class. Any ideas ??? Thanks so much in advance !!! :sunny:

The easiest thing I can think of is to wrap a piece of salami around mini breadsticks.

try procuttio warpped around chunks cantalope. secure with toothpicks. very yummy

You could slice fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes, sprinkle fresh chopped basil over them and top with balsamic vinegar and oil.

DH's Italian GM makes cauliflower fritters as an appetizer all the time. It is more time consuming, if you want the recipe, let me know and I will post it.

Someone had mentioned doing Italian fondue before (I wish I remember who posted this idea!) Put jarred marinara sauce in a fondue pot, then give mozarella pieces, french bread cubes, etc. to dip into the sauce.

How about Anitpasto Skewers? Just buy wooden skewers (or use toothpicks) and put cubes of salami, pepperoni, mozzarella, artichoke hearts, olives, roasted red peppers, etc. on them, then drizzle with olive oil or Italian dressing.

If she wanted something sweet, I have a recipe for Ricotta Cake that's really quick, easy, and yummy that she could cut into little squares and put into minic cupcake/candy liners. I'm Italian, so it's pretty authentic. Just PM me if you're interested.

She finally decided on making some breadstick with garlic and cheese and also took some Italian chocolates. Would not have been my choice but her class enjoyed it. Thanks again for all the responses!!! :sunny:
