Easy Directions from Orlando Airport to PBH

Hi,

Does anyone know the easiest route to take from the Orlando airport to
the Portofino Hotel? We are making our first trip to this beautiful hotel this weekend. Looks like we might be hitting tropical storm Dennis - and lots of rain, so I'd like to know a quick way to arrive at our destination.

DisneyNJ: I have printed out a couple of directions from different sites. I like the directions from MAPQUEST the best. Just type in Orlando International Airport for your starting point and type in the address for PBH (I am staying at HRH so I typed in 5800 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819)

Other directions you can look at are from: AAA - Triptik
Another is from Expedia - Driving directions.

Estimated time is 23 minutes from the airport to the hotel.

Thanks, GigiW - I'll try it. I've had mixed luck with mapquest, but it sounds like this time I'll get some good directions.

I took the Florida Turnpike (528?) to I4E. Be prepared with a handful of quarters for the two tolls on the Turnpike (about $2 total)

Once you are on I4E, use exit 75B. It is a left exit. Once you get off at the exit, stay to the left and turn left at the first light. You will then officially be at Universal! You will see signs for the PBH which is off to your left. Have a good time!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, NJ. BTW, that 75B exit is beyond the main Universal exits. Don't panic. 75B will put you right by the PBH and HRH.

I just looked at a map and it looks like I did take 528, but 528 is not the Florida Turnpike. So, don't look for the Florida Turnpike out of the airport, but do look for 528 which is a toll road that is otherwise known as the Beeline Expressway. This will hook you up with I4.

Thanks, for the clarification on the route numbers, Imgonnabe40. Getting out of the Orlando airport is always a real "trick" for our family. My husband is driving the rental car - and playing with all the buttons - the boys are bouncing around in the back seat and I'm trying to relay the directions.

We ALWAYS seem to get lost somewhere along the way. That's how we know we are on vacation!

The weather outlook is looking a little bit better - really appreciate your good wishes for us.
