easy costume ideas?

If I can pull it off- my sister and I will be going to the MNSSHP this year. Does anyone have any good ideas or costumes that they saw previously at the party that they want to tell me about... it would have to be nothing elaborate- I'm thinking less is more here... I'd love ideas for 2 Mom's away for the weekend at WDW- thanks!

Hmm....I'm really good at figuring out basic components for creating recognizable characters. If you saw my pics in the MNSSHP pic thread, that Poppins Jolly Holiday costume was created for under $50 with stuff from ebay and crafts from Walmart.

My Wendy nightgown was also a great ebay find- $14, and it was perfect just as it was!

A blue jumper with a white blouse becomes Belle. A brown dress with a kerchief works for Cinderella in rags.

You can also just wait for costume season to return and pull a $20 set from Walmart if you don't feel like being creative. I have a really cute saloongirl dress that subbed for a wench dress for pirate night when I went on a Disney cruise. Yes, I live for the chance to wear a costume.

If you can think of characters you'd be interested in portraying, drop me a line and I'll see if I can come up with an easy way to create them.

Oh- and don't worry about sewing- I'm not a sewer myself: I'm a scavenger!

If you go to Disneyshopping.com, they have a Minnie Mouse pair of ears and gloves set on clearance for like 5.99! I think that would be cute--not a whole costume--but enough to get into the mood.
