Eastern Regatta Excursion

I've heard so many good things about this excursion that I am pretty sure we're going to book this. However, I'm wondering if there is any time to hit the beaches after the excursion. It seems like if we get done early afternoon and the ship doesn't leave til 7pm we would like to spend time on the island. If anyone did this, please let me know your experiences. thanks - 59 days to go!!

Yes, there will be time! That's exaclty what we did after our race!
It was a blast! I was picked at captian and we won!!!
You will have a great time!!!

It's only about a 90 minute excursion, so plenty of time for shopping, beach, snorkeling, or all four.

I NEVER in a million years would have picked that excursion, but my wife thought it sounded fun, so we did it. It ROCKED.
Wife was Captain
Daughter , age 12 was the timer
Son, age 16 was a cranker
I was a cranker.

All I can say is, we won, and GO CANADA 2!!!!!!

Utterly stupid question... is there a restroom at dock before you get on the boats? I know there isn't one on these sail boats. This way I know whether to drink anything or not that morning

Is it really only an hour and a half? I know the books say 3hours. Or is it 3hours from leaving DCL to completion of the race? Just curious I am so looking forward to this too!

Not a stupid question, but an issue I had myself. We met our tour leader about 100 yards from where the Magic docked. He made it clear if you had to go, go now. There is a public restroom in the shopping complex where you meet, or you can jump back on the ship, but no restroom on the boat that takes you out to the sailboats, and none on the sailboats. And at the end they take you back to their "store" for rum punch, to look at the photo they took of your race, etc, there is a restroom there.
