Hi,

I'm tentatively booked on the January 10, 2004 Disney Magic cruise to the Eastern Carribean. I was just wondering what the weather is like down there during early January. I don't want to go if it's going to be on the cool side.

Thanks for the help!

Trish

Hi, TrishK. Welcome to the DIS Boards. You can expect weather in the 70's and 80's year-round at St. Maarten and St. Thomas although it can potentially be a bit cooler at Castaway Cay during the winter months.

We sailed on the Magic last January and it was very pleasant. The water at Castaway Cay was a little cool but it was after a storm. People swam with no problem.::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We sailed the Eastern Caribbean January 12, 2002. Weather was perfect. I even thought the water at Castaway Cay was fine. I spent a lot of time in the water (snorkeling) at the adult beach and family beach.

When my children are older and I don't have to plan around school schedules, I will probably sail again in January.
