This is a call for input from all you Disney World Veterans in the group.

We have never stayed at the Polynesian so I am not to sure about the Disney transportation Options to and from there.

As I had mentioned before, we will be doing down town Disney Friday and then have dinner reservations at the Polynesian for the Luau at 5:15.

We have done the bus transportation and know that we could easily just catch the bus to any resort. But the boys were hoping to utilize more of the transportation options (you know like boat, monorail, etc). We always make time to ride on as many of the forms of Disney Transportation as we can while we are there, but this is a route we have not experimented with yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions on alternate ways to get from DTD to the Polynesian. And if so, how much time should we alot for the route(s) you are recommending?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Tink

You can take the bus to MK and then either take the boat or the monorail to Poly.

You could take a bus to Epcot, catch the monorail to Transportation Center and then take the monorail to Poly or take the monorail to MK and then take the boat to Poly...lots of various options.

They will probably take some time though- 45 min to an hour.

I know a while back, someone offered to help me with making the cancer ribbons. However, I do not remember who that was.
If it was you, or anyone else who has the time and desire to help, can you please let me know. The more help I get, the more specific the colors can be.
At this point, I only have time to manage 2 colors. So I would be limited to a ribbon for all cancers, and a ribbon for care givers.
As always, I appreciate any help offered.
Thanks,
Tink

Tink, what can I help with? I just talked to my daughter and we have some time.
:rolleyes1

Hi! My family of 4 is booked for this cruise! Yay! I have a question I hope someone can answer? We booked a vgt room about a month ago. Paid in full. I checked the rates today and they are HALF of what I paid! Is there any chance DCL will refund me the difference? Do I have to call first?

Thanks!

IMHO that's just bad luck for you. Obviously DCL is now selling leftover staterooms at a discount, but they would be stupid to refund money to everyone who booked earlier. We booked 16 months ago and I guess we paid even more than you, but we wouldn't expect DCL to give us their price for last minute bookings.
You just have to see it from the bright side: If DCL is lowering the prices now so heavily that means the ship is not full, which leaves more room us ;)

Hey guys, Just so you know.... If you paid for your cruise with your Disney Visa, make sure to call and add your $50 onboard credit. They had stopped the program effective the end of Sept 2013. I kept calling about discounts and found out that they added it back on for another year... but they may not do it automatically since it wasn't offered for our cruising previously!!! Who says persistence doesn't pay :thumbsup2

PS I checked on the VGT rate since it is $1000 less then what I paid for the same room catagory, but it is only for new bookings and if I cancel now and re-book I would loose more then gain. Oh well but if you have people on the fence about joining you, the VGT verandah for 2 is less than $1700:beach:

My friends, sorry to bring a sad note to this board, but I am asking for prayers for my brother's family this morning. My brother ended his battle with cancer last night arround midnight eastern time. I refuse to say he lost, because he does get the greater glory of being with our Father in Heaven, and I refuse to give cancer the right to claim victory.

Thank you for your prayers.

Debbie

Debbie,
I am so sorry for your loss. May you have peace in your time of mourning.

Unfortunately, this only applies if you don't have a discount connected with your reservation.

The new price of the VGT rooms are only for new bookings. If you were to cancel and rebook, since its passed the pif date, you would not get all your money back, depending on how much you paid, and how much saving you would get, you would have to call and see, with a VGT booking I do believe its consider a booking with restrictions and they are non refunded.... Good Luck

You are wonderful, thank you:goodvibes
How many colors can y'all do.

Side note: what is entailed is cutting a 6 in. Strips of 1/4 in. Ribbon and attach each strip to a safety pin (you can search cancer ribbons to see how they look folded over)

Thanks again.

Tink

The mystery cruise that Eric was referring to in 2002 was because of a hurricane. We were originally scheduled to do a western route cruise on the magic to key west, grand cayman and cozumel. Due to the hurricane our cruise was changed to San Juan, St Thomas and castaway cay.

The sign up for this FE is closed

Notice to late comers, contact Pontiuspython. She has volunteered to oversee putting something together for late comers.
Her current cut off date is Sept. 5th

:thumbsup2 I will try to keep the FE at (or very Near) the top of each new page from now until we cruise for convenience. :thumbsup2

Our condolences go to you, Deb :(

I have some good news when it comes to health: I had my stent removed this morning and my doc gave me a 'thumbs up' for going back to work and for doing sports again. I have to make some adjustments to my nutrition to avoid getting a kidney stone again, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Four weeks to go

Who do we call to get it? Disney or the credit card . Should we call disney to make sure our OBC from them and travel agent is ready?

Debbie,
I am so sorry I missed that post. Our prayers are with you. I truly understand the pain and frustration of the battle against cancer.
Tink

Oh yes Debbie. I'm sorry I didn't see this post either. Thinking of you and your family and sending healing thoughts to you all.
