Eastern Caribbean Fantasy Oct. 5, 2013

We are PIF, booked up for dining and excursions and almost ready to go!!

Only remaining things are finalising FE and booking the Maho beach private tour!

Just a reminder to everyone who may be interested in the Maho Beach tour + other locations, to please sign up on the group page (if haven't already).

I would like to book this by approx end July, so we don't have any booking issues. Also we will be leaving for our holiday in mid September, so I want to make sure my over planning obsession is satisfied before we leave...

BTW, still no family cabanas available, I just checked but plenty of palo brunch, dinner and remy brunch, dinner available...

Here is the most up to date FE....based on vote, we only have about one more month before it is finalized.

NOW...38 confirmed and counting.....

And just a reminder, if you are not on this list and want to be, just let me know. We don't want to leave anyone out that wants to sharein the fun of FE gifts

At this point there is rumor we may be loosing 1 more cabin as well. I will let you know as soon as they give me a definite yes or no.

Eric,
Let me send you the final picture. As for the whole design with wording and such, I will have to send you a picture of the shirt most likely to see how they came out. Vista had said I could get a digital proof to share with everyone so that the group could use it to attach to their orders (thus you would have at least been able to see it). However, this was one of the big issues I had with them. They charged me for the proof, but it was not shareable, nor attachable. I could not send it to anyone to even look at the design.
I will work on it tomorrow (my Saturday)
Searching for airfare right now.

Tink,

simply load 'Greenshot' from the web. That's a software that allows you to make snapshots of anything on your screen. You simply call up that VistaPrint-design and then call up Greenshot, draw a fence around the design, save it as a JPG or PDF and then you can send it to Lea and me - and anyone else, of course.
Just don't tell VistaPrint :rolleyes1
Here's a link to their download site: http://getgreenshot.org/downloads/

We had our 30year class reunion last night, which was a full success. We used to do that every five years, but last night we decided to do it annually from now on. An informal get-together every year, and a bigger event every five years.
I usually don't drink, but last night I had four half litre glasses of cider, our local specialty. That's a total of a bit more than half a gallon, but I followed it with three glasses of MezzoMix (That's the German blend of Coke and Fanta you can sample at WDW's Icestation Cool). I took a cab home shortly after midnight and woke up this morning with a slight headache, but fortunately Anja Kind of forced me to accompany her on 5mile-run in the park before breakfast and after those 50 minutes I felt great again ;)

Silly question but this is our first time participating in the FE and wanted to find out when you split the group the number is for how many rooms we will have not the number of people, right?

Because we have been making FE gifts and wanted to make sure.

Kim,
If we do create smaller FE sub-groups, it would be by cabins.
So, if you look at the vote on the group page, when referring to the number in a sub-group, I was meaning number of cabins. Sorry if I was unclear.

I recently submitted a story about some of our families Random Acts of Magic (called Random Acts of Pixiedust in the podcast). And was selected as one of the stories to share.
You can listen to this podcast by the PassPorter here:
https://itunes.apple.com/podcast/passporters-disney-beyond!/id354168154?mt=2

It is Episode #177.
Be for warned, these ladies seem to ramble. The other stories are great, but if you don't want to wade through them all, mine is 3rd from the end.
They announce it as being written by Cheryl, better known to her DIS board friends and Passporter board friends as Pixiehallow or Tink.

Give it a listen:thumbsup2

I am posting a helpful tool on the group page today for this months planning party.

This month we are preparing for our dinners in Animator Palate. If you have not already read about this experience, let me give you a quick explanation :teacher:
During your time in Animators, you will be given the opportunity to be part of the show :artist:. Every one is given a sheet to create their own cartoon (this is what I have up loaded in the picture section...an example that has visible instructions, and one I worked up to be able to practice on).
From what I have read, dinner in Animators is on a tighter schedule :hourglass than the other 2 formal dining locations (past Fantasy cruisers can call me on this if I am miss informed).
Thus to fully enjoy the moment, we are going to be prepared with ideas for our cartoon drawings before we arrive.
If you would like to get a copy for practice, look for them on the group page under pictures, and then print...
Another suggestion to save paper :thumbsup2
I am going to print one for each family member, then laminate them so we can wipe away what we don't like, and try again until we get it just right

This is a great idea! I will definitely print some for us, too! Thanks for making it available to everyone! :goodvibes

We had great fun with the drawing. It is so amazing what they come up with to entertain us on the ship. :wizard:

Very nice Tink! I loved the ideas you came up with. Something we will need to try to do. :)

I received my Vistaprint order yesterday. I was really pleased with most of it and what wasn't right they offered to send replacements right away. That took some of the sting away. I was able to get t shirts for DH, 2DD's and DS as well as myself, three bags that the kids designed for their carryon stuff and I used the pattern and made personalized autograph books for the kids. Plus some magnets. Able to get all of that with just the Groupon! Love Groupon.

We are now PIF!!! Have our tickets to Magic Kingdom the day before. Bought a few things for the FE and am working on gifts now. So excited and it doesn't seem that it is coming fast enough. Kids have a countdown started and they tell me every morning how many more days we have. Way too many is the usual answer! :rotfl:

Are you doing the Mickey's Not so Scary that night?
We are thinking of surprising our youngest with that. Not sure yet though.
If we do, and you do, maybe we can meet up.

And as for the count down, My youngest made a count down clock for an art project this year. It looks like a life safer (you know the red and white ones the life gaurds use) and the hands of the clock are the Disney Magic and the Disney Fantasy (needed 2 different sizes). He is in charge of moving the hands and keeping track.

My bad. :headache:
I had what my family would call a Tink moment :tink:(that's when I am doing something and I see a proverbial Tink, and loose my focus. And then never remember that I was doing something else) yesterday.
I fixed it though. You can now find the practice sheets on the group page under the photo tab.

Thank you Wanda for keeping me on my toes :goodvibes

Happy Birthday to You!
:rockband:
Happy Birthday to You!
party:
Happy Birthday to Debbie!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes!! It has been a magical day with all my birthday wishes.

We are not going to do Mickey's Not So Scary. I had to make a choice between spending the day or just the evening there. The cost of the extra tickets was just prohibitive. I can't wait to hear all about it from y'all though!

The count down clock sounds so cute! How very artistic and talented your whole family must be! :artist: Right now, we are just looking at a very long chain and taking turns taking one off. They do very well taking turns and they get excited each night when it's time to take another like off. :goodvibes

:banana:Doing the paid in full dance:cool1: now on to booking onboard activities and excursions after midnight tonight

Hey guys, I know the first day on board will be busy but I was wondering if we had discussed perhaps doing a small meet and greet that day... perhaps we can meet at a central location for the sail away party or something and just enjoy it together :dance3::banana: ? I could bring name tags if anyone is interested

Anyone have a suggestion for location?:crowded:
