After looking for the past few weeks, a last minute site opened up this weekend!!! Soooo excited for the Easter activities at the Fort! Off to pack:)

Would you mind doing a trip report??? :) We are going next year over Easter, just trying to get as much info as I can gather. I think I have read over every Easter TR there is! They, of course, are from past years - so something from this year would be awesome! Maybe just some pics???:rolleyes1 Interested in seeing this candy scramble they speak of:rotfl:

I will! Pics for sure:) I'm excited about the candy scramble, and the pool dive, and the egg hunt, gosh, all of it! I'm sure my son would be too, but he will not know we are going until after school Friday!

We are going for Easter as well!!! We are very excited to join the festivities at the Fort. Although we are looking forward to our very special Easter Dinner of Pizza at Via Napoli with friends from home.

Leaving Thursday and hope to arrive by 2pm on Saturday. Traveling with two dogs, one 70 lb mammoth Golden Ret cross and a 19 lb Rat Terrier.

Thanks!!! If you all partake in any of the "regular" activities they offer (craft-y like things that campgrounds do, games, etc.), would you mind taking pictures of those too? I haven't seen too much info on these activities - maybe b/c people are usually in the parks and they are not heavily attended? But I am interested as our trip will consist of the Fort and maybe one day at MK if I can scrounge up the $500 it will cost for us to go there for the
day :scared1:

I sure will! We are planning on doing most of the Easter activities, and my son wants to try the archery this time too, he just turned 7 and has been waiting to try it.

oh, yeah! This is something i was interested in too for two of my boys, one being 7 as well. I'm so excited for you - it's like I'm actually going!:lmao:
We plan next year on doing all the Fort stuff and doing the two water parks b/c we have never tried those and maybe disney quest, it's been a long time since i have been there, and the mini-golf -never done that either- and just taking the time to enjoy the resort - something we never seem to fit in. BTW, we surprised our kids once with a trip - it's fun:) but they know about this one!
Have a great time!:thumbsup2

Although we won't be partaking in the easter stuff , older kids, it does look like a nice schedule of events as do many of the events here.

One money saver idea....I would avoid the waterparks and just use the pools. You "and the kids" will enjoy less stress and hassle. We went yesterday and would never do it again.

Can you say specifically why you would never do it again? Do you like water parks in general?

The water parks are awesome, we love them, our son especially loves Blizzard Beach. The key to the water parks is to get there early. We usually get there around 9am and leave around 2pm. It starts getting crazy busy around 11am to later in the afternoon during busy times.

Awesome, yes but not worth the time or money. Our 18/15 found it difficult to find the "rides". Lagoon was just too mappy. For little one it's not worth it.

The water parks definitely need a little bit of planning to enjoy. :surfweb: If you do your research I think they are totally worth the money! But of course as add-ons, not full price. Water park add-ons to your park hopper make the per day price very inexpensive...

There is a separate area of slides if you have little ones, so you can set up camp within a fenced area. TL has a lazy river, a wave pool, a snorkel with the "sharks" swim across a lagoon, body slides, tube slides, even a family raft ride. If you are not physically fit you are limited on what and how much you can enjoy however, because there is a LOT of walking, especially walking up many stairs for the slides.

So as a PP stated, get there early (rope drop, anyone?) find a nice shady spot, grab some lounge chairs and/or a table and go have fun! This is a Disney MUST DO for us!:yay:

I took a lot of pictures this weekend at the fort, unfortunately I am going to have to wait a few more days to post them. Our poor son woke up sick yesterday on our last day, hopefully he will be on the mend soon and I will do a mini post Easter trip report:)

Oh gee, well, I hope the little guy gets well soon.

I'll just stand here and wait patiently.

We were at FW all last week. We especially enjoyed the Easter egg hunt in the world showcase. The resorts also had beautiful crafted eggs on display. It was cold last Wednesday morning so we went to AK in the morning. On our way back to FW on the bus, we noticed how empty BB was. It had warmed up to the upper 70s. So we headed back to BB and walked on slides. It was great. I did 5 day base passes and added water parks and more for 5 more admissions. That covered our 9 days fine.

So sorry to hear about ur son, getting sick on vacation is the worst! Will sit here and wait as patiently as possible....:rolleyes1
