easter week odds

I've very last minute started looking into bringing DD (4) on a very short 4 day 3 night trip to the world. I can pay cash and get a room at Pop, but I was also hoping a studio might open up at OKW or SSR. Am I crazy to think this would happen during one of the busiest weeks of the year???? You can tell me, I can take it

Easter week is actually a moderate DVC demand time but even then it is going to be difficult to get something once you are already within 60 days from arrival date when anything left over can be rented through Disney besides reserved by DVC members, and you are already well beyond the 60 day period. The only thing you can do is keep checking for openings because though they are gilled now something might come open. You need a back up plan like renting PoP, but then you have the additional issue of possibly losing portions of amounts paid for PoP if you are able to make the switch close to arrival date.

I added easter night to my reservation at VWL just a few weeks ago. I had a reservation starting on the 6th. I kept checking for the fifth and most of the time SSR was available but I wanted VWL. I wait listed for VWL and within a few weeks it came through(sometime in January). I would think that night would be the hardest to get. I would also think that a few folks might change their reservation to the poly when that option becomes available for non owners to book. I would also think some cancellations would occur right before the 30 day mark. I would think something would become available.
