Easter Week - No rooms at AS

I just got off the phone with CRO and they are saying there are no rooms available at the AS during 4/17 to 4/24. I asked her twice, for any of the All-Star resorts and she said no rooms at any.

This cannot possibly be correct - can it?

I was on hold forever and long distance is not cheap!

Yes this could be very possible. Usually it's one certain day that is sold out that keeps you from booking your entire stay. Sometimes you can get the CM to tell you which day is the trouble day and you can do a split stay. This all depends on how bad you want to be there. You can stay a couple days at one resort, then move to another resort/or off-site on the problem day/days. I always ask myself--do you really want to be there if a resort like the all-stars (almost 6,000 rooms) is sold out?? With Easter being late, and the normal spring travelers (like myself), add in high school groups, grad nights and any conventions going on, then WDW can fill up very quickly. This happened recently in early November (I believe the first weekend of November). I delayed my spring stay to start May 3, just to try to avoid some of the rush, but am preparing myself for a very crowded spring. Of course, you should always try back, because cancellations happen everyday. Be flexible.

FYI,

I made my reservation for April 17 at AS (one night only because we are getting in very late and moving to our DVC/BCVs on Friday)back in September and I was told then that the pickings were slim. Keep trying, there are always people that cancel their reservations!!!!!!

I just tried looking online and I was quoted 854.56 for a standard view for 4/17-4/24. So if you book online it looks like there are rooms available. (I think I read a post somewhere this is WDWTC instead of CRO but I'm not too sure.) If you are looking for a room with discounts they probably dont have any of those (And why would they if people will pay full price ) But if you were looking for full price try online at disneyworld.com.

Also try Dreams Unlimited. They sometimes have rooms when CRO says sold out,or are able to get them.

Rooms open up every day as guests cancel them. If you can call early in the morning, you may have some success and if you can, also try being a little flexible with your dates and you may have more success. Good luck and if you want to give Dreams a try, you can fill out a request form here ....yeah, yeah, I know, shameless plug!

That week is a black out week and there probably won't be any discounts at all. I tried to get a room 2 months ago at the Contemporary for the 2nd week of December and was unsuccessful, but now they have rooms available. I think you should keep trying for the All Stars and if they are still booked move up to a moderate. Surely CBR or POR will have something available. Hope this helps!!
