Hello ~
My family wants to stay at the HRH for 3 nights of our next year's Easter break, mid April 2004.
I called the HRH directly & was told there was only a kid suite available ~ $485.00 per night ~.
I then called the Loews #, and was told the same thing. No availability@the Hard Rock.
I find this strange.
I've searched the internet (Expedia, hotelkingdom, hotels.com). The internet sites don't even have their rates available for next year. I called hotel kingdom & Expedia and was told they don't have their rates in for next year yet, & will probably have them by October 2003.
I'll also have an entertainment book, since I buy one every year, but the HRH didn't show any e book rates either.

There was availability at the Royal Pacific & the Portofino.
What should I do?
Wait and see what may become available at the HRH through the internet?
Book the Royal Pacific? (The Portofino is out of my price range).

What do you all know that I don't know???
Any suggestions/tips from you experts would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Sometimes the hotel will hold a specific amount of rooms for a time period. Easter week is a VERY busy week! I'll tell you what I would do.....I'd book RPR for now. Keep calling back to see if rooms become available at HRH. You can always cancel the RPR ressie but at least you know you have it booked for a very busy time period. You can keep checking on the internet as well. You didn't mention if you were trying to get a specific rate or rack rate. I've found the special rates <i.e. Entertainment, AP and Fan Club> rates tend to become available closer to the date.

Thanks, net nurse, for your opinion.
Of course, if I could get an entertainment discount that would be ideal. (We're willing to pay rack rate though.)

My husband says we should go ahead and book the Royal Pacific. We've stayed at the Hard Rock once before, the place was so beautiful, convenient, etc.

The Royal Pacific is a longer walk, but they have the boat ride & bus transporation to parks. It's also less $ to stay at the RPR.

Thanks again for your input!

Rooms seem to come available very mysteriously at the hotels. We encountered the same problem and they kept saying everything was all booked up and then all of a sudden there were tons of rooms and when we actually got to the hotel it was very quiet.

The walk from RPR is very nice and really not that much longer.
