I'm really struggling to decide on a trip date. I've been going back and forth for weeks and it's making me crazy. Our options are:
4N the Sat. before Easter staying at BCV or 5N at a mod. June 4 with free dining.
My concerns are: with June is the heat and Easter are the crowds and feeling rushed to get the kids back to school.
It will be a multi-family trip ranging from 71 to 9 weeks.
I'm leaning towards Easter b/c I feel like it would be so nice spending Easter at WDW & getting away from the cold but am worried about the crowds,& a new baby. We've only been during high crowd levels and were fine (NY week).DH & I went last March & loved it but it wasn't Easter week. My main concern with June is the heat for an infant and my 71 year old parents.
Any opinions would be helpful! !

It's already hot at Easter, and the crowds are waaaaaay worse than the first week of June. Early June will be busy, but it's not even close to Easter crowd levels.

Agreed.

The temperature difference won't be that noticeable.

This year it was not hot at Easter. It was 50 in the evening and 70's during the day. We are from CT and it was very pleasant. It was even a little chilly for swimming. It was busy but with a good touring plan we had a wonderful time. In June my poor dad had to leave MK and AK because of the heat. He told us he would not be going back to Disney with us in the summer again. I would pick Easter over Summer. But if you could stay longer and you are sure folks would not be too bothered by the humidity I would go with June - just be sure to stay hydrated and take mid day breaks!

We were there through Easter and the week after Easter this year. It was crowded, but the temperature was awesome! 80s and low humidity. It may have been a fluke, but it was so much nicer than traveling there in the summer humidity. We had good touring plans and did not feel cheated with the crowd levels.

June is better than anytime around Resurrection Sunday or even Spring Break. I am basing that comment on crowd levels.

When I went in March it was hot. Everyone said about 10 degrees hotter then normal and it was really nice because there wasn't any humidity. Never been in June but heard it gets humid. Does it cool off at night in June?

I've been doing the same obsessing for our trip (second week of April). I've actually done a study of the temps for that weeks for the last five years. What I concluded is that it's just like here in SoCal… it MIGHT be cooler in April. It will PROBABLY be less humid. Unless there's a heat wave in which case all bets are off. So you might luck out and you might drive yourself nuts hoping the weather will be nice.

The crowds will definitely be nicer in June though and having gone with both a baby and older heart patient who doesn't do well with the heat, here are my thoughts of things that will be harder in higher crowds…

Harder for older people to navigate, especially if there's an ECV or wheelchair involved
Possible longer waits for a chair in a/c for meals
Harder to weave in and out with a stroller
Possible lines for changing tables in the parks (Baby Centers are awesome)

None of these things are major but after a long day that can be hard on older people or parents of a newborn.

I think you should just pick the one that sounds best to you and then plan around the inconveniences, like crowds and weather: early days with long breaks for naps in the heat of the day, good touring plans to minimize walking and take advantage of a/c for meals and understanding the age range will mean a slower pace. I think your planning will be more important than when you pick.

That's great advice, plan around the inconveniences. I think it would be magical to be at Disney on Easter!

Star Wars weekends always decides for me. Early June is my favorite time to travel.

We prefer Easter. The weather in late March and early April is, IMHO, the best there is in Florida. In early June, the weather is nicer at home than it is at WDW.

We also love the 7 AM EMH at MK that have become the norm around Easter. Easter Sunday at the MK is especially festive. Yes, the crowds may be lower in early June, but for us anyway the weather and overall atmosphere more than offset them.
