I will be arriving on April 10 and leaving on the 17th. I have never been down there this time of year and we wanted to know how busy it is, etc. I'm booked at the All-Star Sports resort, also for the 1st time. Recently we have stayed at the Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans-Riverside.

It will be very busy. we were there in 2003....fastpass and EE is a must during this week...

I believe last year it was almost 100 degrees in the parks and they were all closed due to being filled to capacity
I had a friend that went and she got horribly sunburned even with protection on
Either it was last year or the one prior
Good luck with the crowds

Very busy time, but you can still have a wonderful vacation. I would avoid the MK on Easter Day, and just go with the flow. Most times in April the weather is nice. If you have been before, which you say you have, you will not have a problem. The problems come from trying to see and do everything during Easter week.

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!!

It is very busy during that time but with careful planning you will be fine. Just try to relax and hop to another park when the crowds get to be too much for you.

Go to a park as early in the day as you can, use the early magic hour every chance you get and use Fast Pass. Certain attractions do tend to run out of fast passes during times like this, that's why it is important to get to your park early.

Definitely avoid MK on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, very busy especially during this time of year.

You're going to love the sunshine :)

it's busy but the weather is great!...make sure u see the parade at some point...they run the easter parade for several days before easter so u do not necessarily have to be in mk on easter sunday to see it...it's gorgeous, not to be missed...if they still do the easter parade....which i would think they would but i don't know for sure...u may want to find that out...

Hi Goofy41.

We will be arriving April 10th and leaving April 18th. I have heard that it is crowded, but manageable. One plus about Easter and the week after is that there should be very little, if any, reduction in parade or fireworks schedule.

Wear your green ribbon!

Any opinions on which is worse for crowds, the week before Easter or the week after?

Several cast members have told me that the week before Easter is busier than the week after. We always go the week after, and it is crowded. However, the parks are always open late (MK has been open until midnight). Also, they will always have two showings of Fantasmic, SpectroMaGIC Parade, etc. (Always try and go to the later shows -- a lot less crowded.)

We were there this past Easter. Made reservations at Cindy's for breasfast on Easter morning...very special. We found that the crowds arrived at MK around noon, by that time we were ready to move on to another park. During this week the only huge crowds were at TL and BB. If you plan on visiting these water parks be there when the gates open. If you wait until later in the day chances are you will not find any chairs, and the lines will be enormous. During our stay the weather was 85-88 every day.::MinnieMo

I was there the last 2 years & while it was warm, I don't believe it ever got to be 100 degrees. Take your sunscreen & a hat!

One of those years the TTC parking lot was closed because that reached capacity (just one more reason to stay onsite IMO). I don't think the parks ever closed due to capacity.

It is very crowded during Easter, however, utilize early entry, get as much done in the morning as possible & then take a break. Go back to the parks after an early dinner or late lunch & stay until closing. When we do a day like that we usually take the next day as a pool day.

Actually, now that we have AP's, we just hop to the parks when we want & if they're crowded we come back another time!! :teeth:

The MK closed because they were at capacity a couple times this last Easter. However, they were only closed for a couple hours from about 1-4 pm. On the Thursday after Easter, BB was closed by 10 am. I agree that crowds are at their greatest from Noon to 4. After the parade, a lot of people leave. We always left around lunch and returned after dinner. The weather was beautiful!

I have been there the past 2 Easter weeks and it never got up to 100 degrees. The weather both times was warm and perfect! Yes, it is crowded...and think gridlock in Fantasyland at the MK at noon. But we are going again in 04 and plan a lot of pool time at SAB during the afternoon and plan on enjoying the parks later in the day/evening.

You have received good advice about going early, using FastPasses. Try and plan meals during off times, too!

Have fun and I will see you there. I'll be "home" at the Beach Club Villas!
