The Cast - DH, says disney is his favorite place to veg out his mind
Me- The obsessive planner, everything must be perfect and we have to please everyone
The 3 ds - 16,14 and 12. Disney Pros

Well this would be our first trip at a major holiday. From reading the DIS boards, I was a little worried about the crowds. We usually go in august, but this was the only time we could go this year. We called way ahead of time and asked for ap rates at the poly. We were offered anything but..nothing in our budget. Wow, I miss those nice value season rates. So we ended up at the swan again with a nice govt. disc. and rollaway for the ds. to share. Many things happened before the trip that had us wondering if we would cancel it. DS 16 blew out his knee, DS 14 got a terrible case of the shingles, but a few days before the trip the dr. said he could swim, and I got a sinus inf. with a nice warning from the dr. to stay out of the sun with the antibiotic you are on.

Day 1 - Tues, April 6. We all awoke at 4:30 am. Southwest to Orlando. Got A seats as usual. Berkley Edwards from Tiffany Towncar was promptly there to pick us up. He is our absolute favorite driver. He even let me borrow a book he just finished reading. Such a great guy. Off to Hess Mini Mart to pick up some soda. Check in to the swan with CM John. Our room was not ready. He reminded us that due to our nice govt. disc. we wouldnt have a nice view. Thanks so much. I only wanted a room close to the elevator which we got. 663 West Wing. We had a view of the front entrance and side view of tower of terror and the earful tower. Hopped an MK bus with a 10 min wait and hopped the monorail to the poly. Rented mouse boats for the boys for 1 hour. It was ds 12 first time solo and he did well after a little apprehension. DS 16 had to come in for a new boat, some mechanical issues he said. Next we sent the ds to captain cooks and dh and I had a ps at kona. I already did our restraunt reviews a while ago. It was o.k. but I dont think we will be back for a while. Nothing spectacular. Didnt like our seating location. Our original plan was to go to the MK but we were all so exhausted we decided to head back to the hotel for a nap. Later DS 16 and 12 went with me to MGM. This was the only time we met a RUDE CM all week. We ate at sunset market. It was terrible. The ds went on RNR and then we went to fantasmic. I asked for handicapped seating as I cant do stairs well. I walked in on ds 16 arm. The CM could see my obvious limp etc. Well she kept saying, if you are not handicapped I would not claim it. I said I am handicapped. She kept saying the DS could not sit with me. I said fine, he just needs to help me get seated. She kept sending me over many sections, by that tme I was really having trouble walking. She repeated her handicapped mantra to me. I was so aggravated I showed her one of my handicapps. The ds knew I was really mad to have done that. She finally sat me in a section. There werent too many left. By this time it was hard for the ds to find a seat. DS 16 managed to sit in front of me by begging a guy, thank you. I told him to let ds 12 sit on his lap. There was a handicapped seat next to me and I myself would not let ds sit there. But after the show started and no one was next to me ds 12 came and sat with me. He whispered to me, boy was that lady MEAN. I said, yes, I know she was. Later the CM must have had a change of heart since she actually brought me a complimentary wheelchair so ds 16 could wheel me out. I can walk but sometimes its hard and slow and if the pain is too much I get a wc to either push as a walker or have to sit in. DS 16 wheeled me out. Not what we exactly had in mind for the 1st day, but it was a disney day none the less. The CM really ruined the magic for me. DH and DS 14 reported they tried to go to epcot , but they were too late to go in, huh? We already bought the length of stay passes, so they got nothing for their moneys worth that day, sigh sigh. They went to Tubbis for dinner they said.

Day 2, Wednesday April 7 - We went to MGM and did Sounds Dangerous, Indiana Jones, The TOT at noon had a FP return of 6 pm. We had never seen such long times compared to aug. We ate at the ranch market again, yuck. The turkey legs were about the best food there. We took a bus to the Poly and took the MK monorail. At 3 pm the Splash return time was 9 pm. The Pirate posted wait time was 25 min. We waited 7. We had an early dinner at Crystal Palace. Great food and fun characters as usual.
Small World was 25 min. posted but actual was 10. We did the tiki birds and Philharmagic. The only place where we saw a h*** child all week. This boy was so out of control and his parents would not discipline him. I told my ds to look out as he was swinging the metal chains all over the place and hurting me, crashing into the walls on purpose, almost tripping us etc. I was glad after our long wait of 25 minutes. It was our absolutely most favorite show. We all commented on the apple pie smell and dh said he couldnt smell it, huh? While everyone was lining up for spectro we went into country bears. There were only 25 of us. We met a pressed penny lady. She told us she had like over 500 pennys and kept them in a glass coffee table at home and at her work desk also. DS 12 started this new collection this trip. I was really tired and needed to sit in the wheelchair for spectro. We just stayed in the 2nd row by pecos bills and had a good view. A nice family kept insisting we come up in the first row by them. I told them, no I would stand up to watch the show and dh and I are both tall so I didnt want to ruin their view. We have seen it before so it was no big deal. It was beautiful as ever. Well our fp for splash was right during wishes. We saw some but due to the ride we missed it, we kept straining our necks backwards in our log to see it. Worst of all our picture did not come out. I think it had something to do with the nice young couple in back of us. But we had fun none the less. That is the most daring ride the family knows I will go on physically for me. Leaving the MK we had to wait for 6 busses since we had to share with all the epcot resorts. But we only had to wait 10 minutes. I felt bad as I watched another resort with such a long line, they only got 1 bus for our 6. How does that happen?A magical disney day at last. :D
