Easter time

we are debating with when to go for our 2017 vacation. what is the week following Easter like? We are thinking to come and spend 2 nights at the GF for Easter Sunday and Monday (do they still do egg hunts etc?). And then move to beach club for a week and do the parks. We don't want the parks on the Easter weekend, just the resort

The resorts have Candy Scrambles on Easter morning. Characters are in attendance and kids gather candy from grassy areas of the resorts.

following along... thinking of also going for Easter 2017 (week before) to minimize time off school for ds.

Crowds around the weeks surrounding Easter are the 2nd most crowded of the year after the Christmas/New Year's weeks. It's not just Easter weekend, but the entire weeks. I believe the week following Easter Sunday is more crowded than the week before, but both are very crowded. Expect 8-10 levels the entire time.

We are going that week next year. I am bracing for brutal crowds, but we will plan accordingly. We stay off site, so we will be there at RD then leave midday. We return around 5 for the evening. We also will be going to Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, and Universal on the busiest Disney days.

We have gone around the same time before, and it's important to be flexible and keep expectations realistic.
