easter mass

anyone know anything about catholic easter mass this year??

They have always had an Easter mass and Christmas mass at the Contemporary Resort in the Convention Center Ballroom, even after they did away with the Sunday masses at the Polynesian.

My bet is that they will have services.

they had Easter Mass at the Contemporary several years ago but I don't know if they alternate it or not. I remember the part we liked about it was when you went up for Communion they gave you the wine in seperate tiny dixie cups. This worked for my germ crazed family. Anyway, you may have to call Disney for this one.

I think they had two masses (maybe 8 and 10) and a Protestant service between the two. I have never seen paper cups for Communion.

That got my attention, too. How could they distribute consecrated wine in paper cups? How would each cup be properly emptied of each last drop? Do you think it could have been at the Protestant service that cups were used?

That would be my guess.

You could also check out the schedule for Mary, Queen of the Universe shrine. It's not too far and usually has a full schedule of Masses.

I was just there in November and was told there is no longer any masses at WDW. I was travelng with a friend who had to go to mass. We called all over and the CM at the desk didnt even know that there were no more church services anymore. We would have to either get a cab(about 16.00 each way) or take Mears for(13.00 rt) to the mall then walk about 3/4 of a mile. She decided to not do it. So I suggested we go to Epcot the Norway pavallian and visit the Stave church... I guess she said her prayers in there.

That's right. There are no more regularly scheduled Sunday masses at the Polynesian at WDW. They discontinued those about 2 years ago at the request of the Diocese and the staff at the Shrine. But they have continued to have the Easter and Christmas services at the Contemporary.
