Easter Help!

I don't know if this is the proper forum or not, but we are travelling to WDW at Easter next April. As DVC members since '95, we have made 30-odd trips to WDW, but this will be our first over Easter, and we don't really know what to expect.

It's Spring vacation for just about every school district inthe USA, so will the crowds be unbearable? Should we already have made dining reservations for Easter Sunday? Should we just hang around the resort pool (not bad, at Stormalong Bay) and forget the parks?

I'd welcome advice/suggestions from anyone with any Easter experience at WDW.

Hi Steve, and welcome to the DIS!

First of all, Easter week is VERY crowded at WDW. But having said that, loads of people go every year and have a great time, so don't worry! Just be organized, get to the parks early, and take a mid-day break.

It's too early to make ADRs for Easter. You can make dining reservations 90 days before the date in question. Here's a link so that you will know when to call:

As much as I love the Y&BC and Stormalong Bay, I'd hate to miss out on the parks. Again, go early, use FastPass, and come back for a mid-day swim and you'll have a blast!

We hvae done Easter the last few years at the BCVs and it's really doable. The parks are open late, the weather is fantastic and since you have been there before, you shouldn't feel the need to go "commando" On Easter Sunday, we usually grab a nice late breakfast at Boma or last year at Cape May. We generally hang around the the pool on Sunday and grab dinner at Beaches and Cream. It's a great time to head to Disney!
