Easter Dessert!

You guys are killing me!

We usually make what my mother called Watergate Salad, but it's nothing like other recipes I've seen.

You take 2 boxes of pistachio pudding mix, a big container of cool whip, a big can of crushed pineapple, and chopped walnuts and mix together in a 13x9 pan. Spread a small container of cool whip on top and sprinkle more chopped walnuts plus some sliced maraschino cherries. I don't like cherries, so I leave those out.

I used to make this Easter Bonnet Cake:

Instead of the ribbon I would use rolled gumdrop flowers all around the crown of the "bonnet".

I also came across a recipe today in a rubber stamping catalog. LOL

It was called....Better than Anything Cake

1 box German Chocolate Cake (I don't care for that, so I would use just regular chocolate)
1 jar of caramel ice cream topping
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tub of cool whip
1 bag of toffee bits

Make cake according to package. While it's still hot, poke holes in it and pour the caramel topping and condensed milk all over the top. When it's cooled, spread cool whip on top and sprinkle toffee bits all over top.

Either coconut cake or carrot cake. Carrot cake is our traditional Easter dessert, but I'm not really all that motivated to make it this year.

I've always made the bunny cake and now my girls get to make it- we do it every year. I'm also making pineapple pretzel salad and tiramisu, I'll also pick something up from the bakery but idk what it'll be yet, probably this to-die-for fruit tart YUMMY!!! Mom's cooking- I'm just in charge of dessert!
