We will be traveling to Disney in April of 2006. Easter week. Has anyone been there during Easter and if so, do you have any tips for the crowds. What kinds of things would you suggest for Easter Day. My girls are 11 and 5. Is it wise to stay away from the MK on Easter day? How often do they change their early entry and extended hours schedule? We have been to Disney alot but have always traveled in the fall when it is not crowded. I am afraid I will be in for a shock when I go for Easter. Will it be bearable?

WE were there for Easter many years ago and it was very crowded then. I do not want to think about what it would be like now.

We have a plan for MK that we always use. The plan is that we always arrive at least 45 minutes before it opens or before EMH. Then we set our watches for 2 hours . At the 2 hour mark we leave and go someplace else only to return for something specific like parade or fireworks. After about 2 hours the crowds are just too much for us. We just get frustrated.

We were there last month and never went to a EMH. We always went to the park that had EMH the previous day. Worked nicely.

We will also be there Easter Break of 2006! This will be our second Spring Break trip. Yes, lots of crowds, but it's a great time. Not stiffling hot, great weather in the mornings and cooler in the evenings. It was a perfect week, and honestly, we rarely complained about the crowds. I think AK was the most crowded! What are your dates for your trip?We are April 13-20

We went last Easter (my 2 boys 7th birthday also). We were planning on attending Mass at the Cont....but both of my boys got sick...very bad. The day before we were at CM which was fun. Earlier in the week we were up to 2:30 am at MK!!!! You have to realize the lines and crowds will prevent you from rushing on to everything. So plan what you really want to do use the FP system, and Magic hours to your agvantage. and MAKE ADR's you will not be able to walk into places for dinner. I made PS for every day...you will need them!!! But we would go again, just not for 10 days. Plan lots of time at the pool, and eating at lesser known spots...or in resorts. You will have a great time but some NE schools are off that week for their spring break. Welcome to the Dis :goodvibes

Hello! I am grateful for this thread because I am going to WDW for the first time and in peak season! :teeth: It is the only time that I can take off from work. We will be going from April 7th to Easter Sunday, April 16th. I am always hoping for a thread from experienced WDW visitors who go in peak season! I wonder how many of the big rides I can expect for us to be able to ride in one day for example. 2 or 4??? We will be staying at CBR. Thank You,

We have been there at christmas and easter and here are my suggestions
1. go early, go back to your room in the afternoon and go back for the evening
2. go to MK early and only stay for the first 2-3 hours then return only for parade or other occasion
3. always have a fast pass in your hand----befire you go on the fast pass that you have go get another one and have it in hand
4.get FP for Soarin first thing when you arrive at Epcot and if the line is short, get a RP, ride it right away and then you will get to ride it twice
5. we did not do EMH but went to the theme park the day after EMH and that worked nnicely
6. have fun and enjly the non-theme park ride parts of WDW
7. the FP for the new Stunt show did not "count" like you had a fast pass so you could get another one along with this one------be sure to get one for the Stunt show.

Dear Love WDW! These are great tips! I am so happy to hear that you enjoy your trips in peak vacation times! Your opinion helps me to know that my family and I will enjoy our trip! :sunny:

LoveWdwDvc, What do you think about going to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, or even Disney Quest after 2 hours in a major park, eating, and then back to a major park for the evening? ;)
