Easter Challenge -- week 5 thread

I am IN! I hope to lose 16 pounds by Easter! I have lost almost ten so far since joining Jenny Craig three weeks ago. :banana:
 
Wow, you all rock, you are really putting up some impressive numbers!!! I haven't been around too much lately between being under the weather and life getting in the way I just haven't been able to post like I used to. I don't weigh until tomorrow night, but had to post to say congrats to all our losers.
 
Thanks Ohmom, and Fofinia your certainly not the only one having trouble losing. The only thing I can think of that may be a bit off is my water intake. I could certainly increase that alot. Congrats good luck everyone!:)
 
I'm down another 4 pounds this week! I love the first couple of weeks on WW; I'm sure the weight loss will slow down any day now. I really have to start drinking my water. I haven't started exercising yet either, so hopefully this week I'll be able to get some in.
 

Good week! I am down 2.6 for a total of 12.8/20. It is good to read all of the successes this week!

well yesterday i could've done a little better. but that day is over. today i'm going to the FC for a weight workout later this afternoon, the kick-butt weekly class. my DDs are off one more day for ice/snow/wind chill and today marks the count of days to be made up. i heard on the news last night one particular Cols area school that will be making up days on selected Saturdays!

how's the exercise challenge going for all? yesterday I did my 30 mins poweryoga when i really just wanted to take a day off! i used to do yoga on my scheduled days off and i do miss it.

i finally finished the oprah show on "The Secret" book and there were a few statements that i really tried to digest. one of them was whatever our focus is, what we think about all the time, E X P A N D S in our life. so if i spend my energy thinking on negative thoughts about this healthy living journey, like "i'm having so much trouble losing" or how many calories/points are in which foods, etc............well that will just keep growing in overtaking the energy of my day. and that makes sense b/c there are days when i'm just like, i'm sooo tired of THINKING about this. it's draining. you know, you've been there. so instead, they say focus on the positives, "I am healthy" "I am strong" and thoughts that steer my energy in a positive way on how to accept and love how i look, my body, etc. and let that positive way of thinking E X P A N D and push that negative junk gone.

make sense? i'm not really explaining it well?
 
Happy to say that i've lost all the weight i gained last week plus 1 more lb. So i am now down 1 lb from my start weight for this challenge. Pretty good since i thought i'd be bloated today. Guess not. Congrats to everybody who's lost this week.

OhMom: I think I understand what you're saying even though i haven't read the book. That's why i keep talking about my cruise in work. OH SO FAR AWAY but it keeps me from complaining about another day working. And with what seems like so much unhappy news in the lives of ppl around me I've got that big positive goal to think about. I'll be broke when its done, But I'll be happy:hippie:
 
Barb checking in. I need to lose the Negative Energy I have been throwing off. I didn't go to WW today to weigh in because I was convinced I'd see another gain this week. So, today I started all over and I am considering today day 1 of Wk 1 of WW. I have been following the Flex Plan, but I have 20 pts. per day, and I feel like that is not enough pts. I am not eating a lot of food! The hardest time for me is when I get home from work and have to feed my family. I don't even bother to count the points, and believe me, there's not many left by the time I get home for dinner!

Anyway, since I totally blew it with Valentine's Day and my anniversary (truffles, apple martini, Asti Spumanti, bread, baked stuff shrimp, carrot cake . . . . . .), I figured, I'd wash the slate clean and start over fresh.

My goal is 15 lbs. by Easter and I've lost 2.6 total so far. OhMom, please check my numbers for the challenge, they don't look right to me.

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss to date. Hopefully, I'll have some good news to report next week!
 
Finally off the stall period, I lost 4.6 this week. New total 14.4/12, got to keep going, love to lose lots more. Good luck all.
 
Had a slight gain this week, up .8 so that puts me at 1.8/6. Tomorrow starts a new week...I need to find that motivation!!

I am up 1.5 this week:( Need to figure out what is going on...although I think I went from irritable-cranky to indulging in food. Neither work so I need to find a balance for the stress I have.

barb -- when i count pts i get 20 pts too so i know what you mean. but i will say the days i make really healthy choices, fruits, veggies, LF protein I would find 20 pts was enough. now are you adding in your APs? that may help give you a boost sometimes? is this your first time on WW, should we give you some of our favorite low-point WW friendly foods? there was a good thread on WISH, try searching "WW pantry" the title was like, What's in your WW (or spelled out Weight Watcher) pantry?" let me know if you can't find it and are interested

pria bars -- 2 pts
Kashi trail mix bars -- 2 pts
Aunt Millies 5 grain light bread - 1 pt for 2 slices
100 calorie packs -- 2 pts

oops -- note i'm a carb-addict!

i had a GREAT strength training workout last night, problem was i was soooo hungry that i overate and had a few cookies. now today a sneak WI and i was up 4 lbs. this is why i don't WI everyday. i fluctuate too much -- i feel a bit bloated so why did i anyhow? b/c it's friday and i wanted a reason to stay OP this weekend!!

remember girls -- we DESERVE a healthy life and it is within our reach when we decide to make the choices to support that goal!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sorry to those who have gained, and aren't feeling motivated. Hang in there and don't give up. Like ohmom said, keep positive thoughts in your head and they will expand and get rid of all the negative, and you will see a loss next week. You can do it!!!!:cheer2:

I've been thinking of the exercise challenge all week, but haven't done too much. I did get out and shovel one day, and am going swimming today, but that's it. I was on program yesterday, but the 3 nights before that, did way too much snacking in the evenings. Hoping to stay on track.
