thank you girls for the hugs and cheers. i just got home from the FC and feeling a bit more pumped i think. i made it through my day and worked HARD for my workout. 20 mins on the bike and then and hour or so circuit strength training. i have gotten weak from missing my Wed night class for so long, but i'm going to give it a go. i even suggested we switch to Thursday next week b/c i'm taking my sweetie out for valentine's day. instead of just missing class again, so i was happy i just made that committment. the personal trainer who we work with on Wed said he'd look at my 1/2 training schedule for the Columbus 1/2 marathon which is April 14, and help me tweak the cardio to make the most of it and burn through interval training too. i know the first thing he should say is EAT LIKE AN ATHLETE. not like a housewife trying to budget her calories with the most snacks she can eat in a day. i'm not there yet

CONGRATS to the losers who posted today!! wooo hooo!! you girls are really keeping me going!! seriously i see your numbers just add up and continue that downward trend and i know i can pull myself out of this slump and move on. i will update WI tomorrow, i'm heading off to shower!

Down 2.5 this week, 5lb lose total. Couldn't weigh in till yesterday due to the snow which caused the gym to close.

Great loses everyone!

Okay girls, well I broke through the barrier, finally after almost two weeks of the same measurement and I'm down 0.6 lbs this week....so that's 6.2 total loss for me so far...

Man, it's slow going this time and I've been very very good (minus the extra slice of Papa John's during the Super Bowl). I have even drank around 100 ozs of water the last couple of days...I know usually 0.5 lb or so a week would be good but I have a decent amount to lose and have done it before at a much faster clip (pre-second baby). Oh well - gotta keep going! Those half lbs will start adding up if I keep it up!

Great job all you losers!!!! You have inspired me further to keep going!!!

Don't get discouraged anyone!!! Remember, no matter what, you are eating healthier and excercising more and it's good for you no matter what the scale says!!!!!

updated post #1 here

i feel the mojo here................c'mon mojo come to OHIO!! don't let the wind chills keep you away!!

great job LOSERS!!!!!!! keep it coming!

Down .8 today, for 2/12. I was looking at my beginning weight watchers weighin book, and saw how fast I lost in the beginning, and thinking if I could just get that motivation and keep it for a few months, I'd be in great shape. I hear that daylight savings is going to be on March 11th, and then I'll have no excuse not to get outside for some exercise. I'm really going to try and stick to this and lose these 12 pounds by easter. I can do it!!!!

Congrats believe and Miandria on the awesome losses!! You are inspiring me!!

Great job on the exercise Ohmom!!!!

Keep up the great work everyone!!!:cheer2:

This was my first week on WW and I weighed in this morning---4.4 lbs. down! :) I was hoping for more my first week, but I'll take it. (It was my TOM after all.)

Hi All

I regret to say I'm up 3.5 lbs this week, which eliminates my loss of 2 from last week and puts me 1.5 over my start weight for this challenge. I have to say I'm baffled. Not a lot of changes this week. Ok so I've had some cookies over the past few days in my house that i don't usually keep however bought Sat. and its Thurs and there's stillhalf a pack left which is a miracle. Also I've only had 1 bottle out of 8 that we bought for the Superbowl(Dh had a friend over). Don't know where I'm off. Oh well just have to keep going and get the weight down next week. Good thing there's still plenty of time to meet my goal.

Could use some advice though. When y'all go out for supper what do you drink with your meals? I usually get a coke, but I'm trying to cut back on that even more than i have since we usually go out twice a week. Iced Tea doesn't appeal to me because i usually just wind up pouring a ton of sugar into it.

TIA

Congrats to all this week's losers.

believe!! that is FANTASTIC!!:woohoo:

mikamah -- hang in there, we are working this thing together!! i'm struggling to find my gung-ho-ness too. day by day. today i'm thinking about nice comfy jeans, that is my first mini-goal; my jeans to fit good. this is my BIG thing and i had it, then lost it. i'm kicking out the negative thoughts and only letting in those that support my goal! you too!! you are worth it and you'll feel soooo good about it!! :thumbsup2

princess: Aurora -- :cool1: :cool1: 4.4 lbs gone FOREVER!! that :rockband:

october:bride: -- i'm still living in the land of green too -- but just coming here (repeatedly today too i might add) helps, just knowing that other gals just like me struggle through it and their accomplishment and success is what i want for myself. and we can have it too -- persistance will pay off and the pay-off is FAB!

that said -- i have noticed when i fell off the wagon i don't always see the consequence on the scale right away, so i think i'm getting away with it. then a few days later POW! it lands on my hips like a ton of bricks. know what i mean? then it takes what feels like even longer to get back to where i was. like fall off 3 days, 4-5th day WI reality check, days 6 - 12 to recoop. maybe that's just me? salt and alcohol may leave you retaining water too. or TOM? work the plan girlfriend, the plan WORKS!

going out to dinner -- i usually get water and if i'm feeling frisky water with a lime or lemon (or both?!). it helps me get my water in and quite frankly, drinks for 4 can really add up. i will do iced tea for lunch but i sweeten with splenda or sweet-n-low. i think sweet-n-low is a lot more sweeter to taste if you need it really sweet.

ok i have been on the computer enough! enough already!!

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to DIS, but although I wasn't around you all were still not far from my mind. Congrats to our losers and {{{{HUGS}}}} to those who experienced gains. I know how hard it is to see the scale go up, especially since we work so hard. Hang in there and use it to motivate you this week.

I weighed in tonight after 10 days, so I am on my new meeting schedule and I am down another 1.6 pounds. That puts me at 2.6/6 for this challenge and 1.4 away from WW goal and 3.4 away from my personal best which will get me back to my siggie of 60 pounds lost! Would be great to reach the goal by my 4 year WISH anniversary on the 18th, but I think that is a little much to ask for in 10 days.

Onward and downward, persistance is the key!

Well, I didn't think it was possible, but I lost 2 more pounds for a total of 3/10. I might just make my goal after all :woohoo:

Congratulations everyone! you are all doing awesome.

Octoberbridge, I have seriously gained 4 lbs over night just by eating salty food. Well chinese food to be exact. I hadn't gone over my WW points that day, but the salt did me in. Not sure if that could've affected you. But something to think about. As far as going out to eat. I only drink water. I pretty much switched to all water 5 years ago, after my DD was born. The Dr. told me to make sure I drank a lot of water cause I was nursing. And I said well I'm drinking juice. And she told me if I kept on drinking juice I might gain weight. :scared1: So I just stopped. Now it's 90 % water and the occasional juice/soda.

Morning ~

Well another week has gone and FINALLY - I, like ohMom, think I am getting the mojo and mindset where it needs to be!

I have been reading YOU and a Diet and when I read the "WHY" of why a food is a good one vs a not good one for our body, it seems to "stick" with me and I have been able to "think through" - is it what I want to eat ???? ....so yesterday skipped those tootsie rolls on my counter and really just did not even think that it was an OKAY thing to have...........PROGRESS - I am hoping so.................:dance3:

Wow there has been some fantastic losses posted and Tiggerlover sooooooooooooooooo close to GOAL - WTG - For those "struggling" - just remember YOU ARE WORTH IT AND WE CAN DO IT

Did anyone else watch the O show this week about the "secret" - Molli said to watch it, so that was my tming entertainment yesterday - a panel of folks who have changed their lifes to positiveness and now "spreading it to others", it doesn't just have to refer to losing weight but some basic thoughts, on CLAIM IT and MOVE FORWARD. Yeah, easier said than done - but what I saw was a good "pumper upper" and I ALWAYS need that on Friday so I don't BLOW IT on the weekend ;)

Not sure what my exercise will be today - DH is on the tm for a LONG run - and I may be out of the mood by the time he is done - if so, I WILL do something tomorrow.

Keep up the good work and even though I have not been here much - I AM CHEERING EVERYONE ON TO SUCCESS:cheer2:

happy weekend everyone!!

debbie - now if you are just 3.4 lbs away from a 60 lb clippie -- wouldn't that make you needing a 55 lb clippie now? just being nosy, sorry-- but more to the point you are SOOOO close to GOAL!!! i can't wait to celebrate with you!

shellynn-- now why wouldn't it be possible? you are making healthy choices and your body thanks you by way of burning FAT! you go girl! you WILL make your Easter challenge goal -- we have time you can do it!:yay:

i haven't had a chance to watch the full O show on the book The Secret -- DD has been home sick for 3 days this week and monopolizing the TV! i did kick her off yesterday for a bit so i could watch the two-part Criminal Minds.

well i got my LW in for this week -- i'm back on the MFM schedule and today was a 6 miler. i had to go to FC and hit the TM which i dread for those long days -- but it's done and i'm glad for that. i could tell i had done some strength training as my hammies were quite tight afterwards.

who's up for an exercise challenge for next week??

remember each and every day counts -- and really is the mindless snacking worth it? NO! i say NO! think of how GREAT it feels to have looser jeans!! (this pep talk is for me too!)

A long hard week, and I stayed on plan. Jobs can be so crazy. I'm a special education teacher for an organization BOCES that groups school districts together and offers services to all of them that they could not offer as well because they don't have enough students needing the specific services. Well, things are a changing. I have been in my position for four years and they are downsizing and my self-contained special school class is going out to be house in a regular middle school, next September - found this out on Wednesday. Friday came and more and quicker cuts are needed and my classroom is being transferred to another program starting March 5. So as I said it has been long, and emotionally difficult, and certainly crazy, but somehow I stayed on plan, but unfortunately can not record a loss. I did however maintain. I did this one other time and it was only a one week blip, hoping it stays that way. Looking forward to next Friday and a loss once again. Good luck all.

Totally off plan last night...UGH! The good part is that I got back on plan today. Just moody again, need to figure out why since I can't blame in on TOM. I think my weigh in will find me either the same or with a slight gain:(

Great job for those staying on plan and exercising. Keep it up!

Hi ladies! I haven't weighed in, too afraid to see the backwards progress! But, I finally got my treadmill today, YEAH!!! So no excuse not to get my walking in. I'm going to try to have a good week as far as that goes and weigh in next Saturday and see where I'm at. I've been stress eating. Even when it's good for me food I'm eating too much so I need to keep working on that. Hope everyone has a good week!! :wizard:

hey i'm sorry i forgot to start a new thread this morning....you know you guys don't have to 'wait' for me too. anyone can but i'll go start it now
