How old were your kids or yourself if you can remember! when you stopped filling Easter baskets?

When DS started asking for video games instead of a basket, around age 12 I guess.

He just got a new cell phone today-his Easter gift. He did mention that he would still like a bag of candy on Easter Sunday, so I might surprise him with a very small basket.

As long as it's enjoyable. :thumbsup2 I still fill Easter baskets for my kids, DGS, DH, DDIL and DM. My DS is 28 and DD just turned 26. They still enjoy the surprises and I really enjoy filling their baskets. I love holidays and I love my family :goodvibes

I'm 36 and my mom still makes me an easter basket! I share it with my hubby! I have a 16, 8, and 3 year old, so I'll be making baskets for a while!

You're NEVER too old! Who doesn't like to get an Easter basket - from anyone - with any kind of goodies inside! I do I do!! :)

I always take an Easter basket to whomever hosts our family Easter dinner, and they also bring me one when I host it.

And my mom still makes ALL of us one, and we're definitely grown up!

:rotfl2::cool1:

I'm almost 36 and DH is 42 and both our moms still give us both baskets. I feel like I hit the mother load at Easter! I usually get some plants or bulbs for the yards, socks, etc and DH gets golf stuff, video's, candy etc. Our girls get lots of stuff- spoiled like a nasty egg left in the yard until Memorial day!

As long as my kids are living at home I'll give them a basket.

I couldn't imagine not giving my kids a basket.

I will still give them one probably when they are bringing their kids over on Easter Sunday. As others have stated, I still get a basket from my mom.

I will be sending an Easter Basket to my daughter who is doing the Disney College Program.

It was only two years ago that she decided we could stop dying eggs and HIDING them.

I still get a basket and I am 29!

Though these days I also get a few things for my mom and leave her a basket as well...

:goodvibes 3 years ago my DD23 (then 20) brought her friend home for Easter and we spent one afternoon dying eggs, at her request. I refused to hide them though!

I still do a basket for her and DH. This year will be the first year she wont be home. :sad1:

I still get one at 34:) Dove chocolate and some pretty lotions/etc - nothing big but makes me feel special:)

I also make one for DH.

My mom filled Easter baskets for us until we moved out/got married. She actually made me one last year because I was living in her house with the girls over Easter because my husband was deployed for work.

I'll probably keep doing them for our kids until they move out/get married as well.

Right now I do baskets for the 2 girls and my husband. DH is in charge of my basket, but I always pick u a few things for myself as well.

DD is 26 and DS 24---they still get one evey year along with DSiL now.
Some years the baskets are well thought out and lots of goodies; other years they may just be filled with last minute goodies. I make the kids give the baskets back after they have emptied or eaten all the goodies. Some years I buy new baskets---I now have quite a collectin in the top of the closet to select from if nothing new strikes my fancy.

I'm really excited this year because I have my first DGD to make a basket for--she'll only be 9 months old at Easter, so I guess there will not be any chocolate bunnies in her basket this year!

My husband age 43, expects one EVERY Easter!!! :rotfl2: Trying now to figure out what to put in the basket this year.

I got one every year until I moved out. I'll do the same for my kids, I might make them one after they move out if they've gone off to college.

Still do them for my DSs 21 and 18. They look forward to it and we also hide a bunch of plastic eggs around the house or out in the yard (if the weather cooperates) and put coins, small bills and candy in them. My older DS brought his DF over Easter eve because she's never had a basket. Needless to say I was scrambling to find things to fill it but we did and she loved it.:lovestruc

My mom made me one until the year I had my son. He is 21 now, and I still plan on making him a basket this year. DH thinks it's ridiculous, but oh well! :lmao:

My boys are 19, 17 & 17 this year and I will give them baskets and we'll color eggs. I have fun doing it and they really enjoy getting them. It's part of our holiday tradition and it just wouldn't seem right if we didn't.
