Hello Everyone! We will be arriving at the Fort next Friday for our Spring Break & just can't wait!

I am going out today to stock the trailer & I am trying to decide if I am going to buy our Easter Basket items here at home or wait until we arrive next week. I think I read somewhere that Easter baskets were available for purchase at the Trading Post.

Could anyone share the types of baskets and/or fillers for sale? Approximate prices would be great, too. I would be buying for a 13 and a 10 year old girl and boy.

Thanks so much!

I wouldn't want to assume that something would still be available when I got there. Of course, I have run into this problem at my local stores for different occasions the past couple of years. I see something and maybe my kids would like it. I decide to think about it and, when I go back, it's gone. I just wouldn't want to chance not getting what I want.

I also wanted to mention that pre-made Easter baskets are often geared toward younger children.

I was also looking for this answer and never did find a clear response, and I just ended up buying stuff here at home. there is some stuff on the disney website, but my kids are older and it's stuff like characters in bunny suits for $20.

I ended up buying some things here at home, too. I am planning to supplement with a few things-like rice crispy Mickey heads-once we get there.

Good plan. Also, I saw your kids are similar ages to mine, and we will be there then too! Can't wait and maybe we'll see ya. I have a 12 year old girl and 9 year old boy. Lots of pool time planned.

We also arrive Friday but probably late in evening since a bulk of the drive will be that day.....or I may just drive straight while everyone sleeps and we can get there around lunchtime. We will see how I feel Thursday, I did get my 5 hr energy and my husband thinks I've completely lost it LOL. I just loaded our RV today with all our Easter stuff, ie baskets, candy and eggs for our own little RV egg hunt. I know there will be egg/candy hunts, picture opps and other Easter things throughout the day so we are spending Sunday at the Fort and maybe Fireworks on the beach that night. Have a great trip!!!

Oh that sounds like so much fun! We work at churches so we can't make the actual easter festivities, but will be there the rest of the week from Easter Monday on.

Wanted to come back and give an update about Easter Baskets in case others wonder in the future.

For $7, the CMs at Meadows Trading Post will fill and shrink wrap Easter Baskets with items purchased at home OR at the trading post. The $7 includes a basket, Easter "Grass", shrink wrap, a tag & large bow.

On Saturday afternoon, I took the goodies I bought at home and purchased a few thing from the Trading Post. I was given a paper to fill out (name, name of the basket recipient, girl/boy, site number, when we wanted to pick up, etc.) and handed the bag of items & the form over to the CM.

The next morning we took the kids to pick up their baskets. They were lovely & the kids were surprised. $7 is very, very reasonable for this service & I wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

Enjoying a beautiful week at the Fort...

Jennifer
