We will be at the world for Easter 2009. I am in a Disney Wedding that week, or we would have tried to avoid a major holiday!
So, can anyone help me? We have no idea what we should be planning for ... crowd wise, where is the best place to eat for Easter, are their special events I should sign up for?
And, to add to the planning, we just discovered we will be having a new baby at the end of January :) So we will have an infant and two princess (DD will have just turned 4, and DD 6)
Also, if anyone has any special family things that they have done for Easter while at Disney I am more than open to ideas!!
THANK YOU!

If you are staying on site at Disney each Hotel has special activities for the kids to do.

we are staying at shades of green, which is on site, but not Disney. will we be able to go to another on site hotel and participate?

We were there on Easter this year. All the activities say for hotel guests only. They were all in the middle the time we wanted to do something else anyway. We chose to eat brunch at 1900 Park Fare and then played mini golf. The crowds are bad! We have always gone on the off season with no lines. I had to race to get in line to get a fastpass this time around. We vowed to never go this time of year again. With that being said, there are things you can do try to avoid the crowds such as subscribe to TourGuideMike. It helped us a lot. What days will you actually be there and how much park time do you have vs wedding time? Feel free to PM me with any questions you have.

The current plan is to fly down on April 8th and home on April 18th. The wedding is on the 16th. So I figure the 15th and 16th will be mostly wedding stuff.
My DD is off of school the 8th thru the 13th so we were trying to miss as little as possible. I guess everyone else will have the same idea.
Should we switch and fly down AFTER Easter, like the 14th or so, and then just deal w/ missing school?
DD will be in 1st grade, so I cannot imagine that is TOO big of a deal to miss a week. She will have the same teacher as last year b/c we loop K-1 and we have a great relationship w/ that teacher.
Plus having the new baby, throws me for a loop. I am NOT a crowd person at all, and admittedly hyper about my babies and strangers...

We were there the Wed before Easter until the Wed after and after was definitely the problem. I would keep as it is, the crowds should be lighter. I still suggest NOT doing a park on Easter. My DS was 21 months old and hates the stroller. We bought a backpack harness and let him walk all over and I felt comfortable. He did not stay for much at night. I did my best to keep him on his schedule. We've been going every year for the last 6 and my kids were 1 and 3 when we started, so we've had lots of experisnce with little ones in a crowd. TourGuideMike is a must in my opinion. Are you familiar? For about $20 he will tell what days are least crowded in each park and also gives you touring plans to follow to stay ahead of the crowd. In the off season, we've gotten by without, but Easter time I wouldn;t be without.
