I know that the holidays and any time kids are not in school is a busy time at WDW,but could anyone who was there last year in April or during Easter let me know how busy it was and if there was any codes, discounts (other than AAA),etc? Also how hot was it?We've been during May,June,July,Sept,Oct,Nov,Dec,but not April.Any help would be great. Thanks

We were there March 11-17 but we stayed off property so I can't tell you about discounts. I can tell you it was our first trip and the crowds weren't bad at all. We never waited more than 20 minutes for any of the rides. The weather was awesome.

This will be our first trip in April too! We loved September hated June,July & August just too hot. But since DH is a teacher we have to go when he is on vacation.

That means you would have left a week before the big crowds came in, right? OP, I've "heard" that the week before and after Easter is VERY crowded. I'll be there from the Thursday before Good Friday til the Sat. after Easter...........watch out crowds, here we come!!

oh, the weather is supposed to be some of the best during April so I can't wait for that. :)

We were at WDW over Easter and Spring Break week for our school. Here is my take on the experience. First, it was busy. There were more people there than we had ever seen, including our end of July trips. That being said, it was VERY manageable. MK opened the WHOLE WEEK at 7 AM. If you get there at rope drop, you will literally be alone there. Plus, the sun is just coming up, so it is a very neat experience. Plan on getting as much done early in the morning as you can, and get out of there noon or shortly after. The horde arrives around lunch, and unless you FP things, you will be spending way way way too much time in line. Additionally, I am a fervent believer in TGM, if not only for his "which park what day" thing. We followed it to the T, and, despite the busy-ness, we didn't feel overwhelmed. But in my opinion, the early morning is a must. I know some people don't like that, because they cannot enjoy late evenings, but after we rode all the rides in Fantasyland, and some twice, by 8 AM, believe me, that is the ticket.
