We are booked for 4/7-4/16 2023, our Spring Break, which includes Easter weekend. It is also the weekend of the Springtime Run. We are trying to decide if we should keep that or change to 6/18-6/27. I know it will be hotter, but do you think it will be less crowded? That is our main concern. Thanks!

I took a look at the crowd data from the week after Easter and the same week in June this year. Crowd levels were usually between 7/10 and 9/10 in both weeks. More 7/10 and 8/10 days overall in June, and worse actually on Easter weekend. MK was the most drastic difference being more noticeably lower in June (some 5/10 days).

If crowds are the primary concern, I think you're better off with June.

No doubt there will likely be more crowds in April but I'd venture to guess it would not be substantially different than late June crowds as by that date, most kids are already out of school. Numbers may be lower but June will likely not be low crowds if that's what you're thinking. The area local school districts all have their spring breaks much earlier in March as it was this past year so by the week post Easter, the park crowds started to drop each day after the holiday. The first 2-5 days of your trip will be substantially more crowded than the latter part. We were in disney this year the week after Easter and it was pretty high crowd but definitely not the same levels as just 2-4 weeks earlier when the locals had their breaks. All manageable and we had a great trip, even with it being pretty crowded. We prefer April for lower humidity but keep in mind it can still be pretty warm, def not summer time rain forest humidity, but it really depends and varies day to day. The best part of April is it's the dry season so that's a big plus. I'd go when it's most convenient for your schedule and plan around that. Also, keep in mind lodging/tix will be cheaper in the summer than around Easter so that could be a positive deciding factor. Not substantially less but a little bit lower cost. Just don't book June thinking the parks won't be crowded. We usually go every year in early June since my kids are out by memorial day and the crowds are substantially lower than after Easter however, by mid June as you creep to 7/4, the parks do get more crowded. But again, not to the level you'll see around spring break.
