Has anybody been making their Easter 2005 ressies???? I started on Wed. can't wait until next week to finish up the ressie...

Never have been at Easter...it should be fun..

I called on Monday of this week and booked a BWV standard view two bedroom unit for March 20, 2005 checking out on March 25th. I should have booked day by day, but I guess I just got lucky!!!

I probably don't need to.... but I really need certain dates because of DD school schedule.

So coming in on Easter Sunday - Friday at OWK, and thinking of moving to SSR for Fri / Sat...

Wow, points usage is high!!!

Our first booking!!! We just became members. This first experience was so easy. I called on Wed for March 27th and reserved BWV studio stndvw. MS noted that I was doing this day by day and put my departure date in the notes. When I called yesterday MS quickly added on my date and asked if there was anything else. This is easy and FUN.::yes::

Just finished booking 3/20/05 through 3/29/05 yesterday. I booked day by day due to the need for a specific time frame - dd's spring break. We are so excited about going to WDW for Easter. This is a first for us!

Because my spring break falls during Holy Week, we decided to skip Disney related things next year during that time. We've booked a 5 night Carnival Cruise exactly one year from sail date. This way, we have a vacation, I'll be home for church services and we save the huge DVC point expense. DVC or not, we're planners!

I'm working on BWV standard view for Easter and calling day by day. The plan is for Mar. 25-Apr. 2, which means 3 weekend nights. I gulp when I see how many points disappear for each weekend night, but those are the exact dates we can go. Hope to see some of you down there. :D

yeah we are doing a Std. 2 bdrm. booking day by day just to be sure.

March 24, 25, 26 --- 2bdrm suite at the dolphin

March 27- April 2 ---2bdrm Villa at BW.

Can't wait.

We are booked at BCV for March 19 through March 25.....we were there this year and had a great time in spite of the crowds. We will have just been over Christmas but by March surely we will be ready again!!! The crowds truly were not bad if you used good judgement and enjoyed the resort mid-day.

I have booked three days so far at Hilton Head. I will have to wait until the 7 month mark to try for more days.

Sounds crowded! Actually, the only way we would ever be in WDW during spring break is if we happened to be in Florida for baseball spring training. Even then, we for sure would not be there during Easter. It's just too important a relgious holiday for us to be away at that time. Besides, I HATE crowds! I'm not sure what I would do at WDW if it was really crowded, since we usually go January, September or early December.

For those of you who have mentioned religious commitments that the Easter season brings,if you are Catholic, there is a amazing church near DD called Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. It is not far from the resorts on Lake Buena Vista Drive, my wife and I go there every Sunday when we are down there. They have a vigil mass at 6 PM on Saturday. It is really a nice place and if you are at all religious, non-catholic, it is really a place to see also. It is really close by so you can have it both ways-stay at DVC and go to church. They used to have mass at the Poly but they do not anymore.

This the first and only year that our Spring Break will be the same as Easter Week. As far as crowds go...we survived Christmas...so I'm ready for Easter.

While Easter is a very important a religious Holiday for us...We will do our own worship service with our kids in our room. No local church for us in the Orlando area..

I've been calling day by day for a grand villa at okw. So far, so good. It will be our first time in a grand villa and we're pretty excited.

How tough is Christmas to get? We have never been during the holidays, but now that DH has a job with holidays off (previously worked for an airline), I'm seriously thinking about booking for next year.

Any advice on DVC and WDW during the Christmas holidays?

Booked SSR for my Sister and her kids to stay at for part of the week - no problems getting a studio there

thanks

Color me stupid, but when is Easter Sunday exactly? I don't have a calendar for 2005, just the school calendar and our "Spring Break" isn't until the 3rd week in April.

Thanks, mouseclick, I guess we won't be going down during Easter! Thank Goodness! :D
