Anyone here take the trek to DLR from the east coast with kids? How long did it take for your kids to adjust to the time change? Any tricks that helped? We will be getting in at about 10:30am PST, which is 1pm our time. We plan on doing the magic morning the morning after we arrive so if he does wake up at 4am it won't be that bad!

It took about three days to fully adjust but my little guy didn't get up until after 5 am our first morning. He is normally up at 7 am so he did sleep in that day! We really pushed and kept him up the first night until after 8 pm which also helped. He is 5. Good Luck!

If you're used to going to WDW, you'll love how the time zone difference works for you at DLR. & you are thinking right if planning on doing your MM the FIRST day offered. (it'll be a breeze getting up....& get to the security tent at :20 of your MM morning).

On your arrival day try to get a lay of the land. (Where things are, how FP machines work etc.) So you can be productive each early morning at DLR starting on Day 2.

- Have you read HG's many tip threads yet?
- How many days are you staying?
- How do you tour WDW & what do you like to do at WDW?
- What are you looking forward to doing at DLR?

Have a great time planning a visit to Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

:)

We are from CA. But when we go next month, my SIL and kids are meeting us from the east coast. They have a similar flight as you. My kids are older but hers are 7 and 5, so I have to adjust my regular touring plans.

They land at LAX around 10:30. They will go to the hotel, drop their bags and meet up with us. Since we won't be there from the early morning, we will do things that will acquaint them to the parks- the train, some shows (Aladdin, Crush), maybe the parade.

We will have an early dinner at ESPN Zone. That is what her 7 year old wants to do the most. That should put us at about 7:00. She'll head back with her kids and go to bed. We will get up early the next morning for MM.
