Good Morning everyone. My daughter and I will be traveling to CA for the first time ever. Will are flying from Phila March 30th into LAX and leaving April 9th. We are spending 2 days in San Diego and then rest in anaheim. My questions are....
We have the VIP experience booked for saturday April 2nd at USH. What time should we leave peacock suites for 830 am arrival?
We are WDW vets and used to hot hot hot. What kind of weather should we expect?
We want to plan some character dining. We want to see stitch so if I booked surfs up where would I park and how much would i have to pay?
Is it possible to take the monorail from inside the parks to DTD for dining at HOB or RFC?
Thanks everyone

HydroGuy has a nice thread with historical weather information for DLR: Detailed Weather Data for DLR. The Anaheim area generally isn't that hot in early April and not as humid as WDW tends to be. That being said, weather is unpredictable, so you might be there when there is a heat wave (or cold spell).

You can park in any of the lots or at the hotel itself. If you park at the hotel, you can get three hours of free parking (with validation from the TS location). After that, you will have to pay the hourly rate for hotel parking. If you're just going to breakfast, then I would park at the hotel. If you're planning on going to the parks afterwards, I would park at one of the theme park lots, so you didn't have to worry about moving your car after three hours.

Yes, anyone inside DL can ride the monorail to the DTD station. You will need to have a valid park ticket if you want to take the monorail from DTD to Tomorrowland (DL). I don't know if House of Blues will still be in DTD in April; there were some reports late last year that they would be moving to GardenWalk in summer 2016 and their lease in DTD ends in "early 2016".

With no traffic it should take you an hour or so. But this is LA so it seems like there is always traffic. Since you are going on a Saturday morning traffic shouldn't be too bad. I would check an app for drive times like google or waze. Waze is my favorite. If I were doing it. I would leave at like 6 but I tend to get places wayyyy early. If u get there early, you could always hunt for a quick breakfast place near by.

I'd figure 60 minutes for driving and 30 minutes for exiting the freeway and parking. I know the VIP experience has different parking, so you probably don't need that full 30, but you don't want to arrive right at 8:30 and have to hurry, so I'd still do 90 so you have a buffer.

Leaving for USH: I would suggest 7:00am since Google Maps is suggesting that time of day on Saturday it's not too busy traffic wise. That also gives you time to park and make your way to the main gates. Coming back to Anaheim will more than likely take more time with traffic but since its a Saturday it shouldn't be too bad.

Temperature: It appears that average highs are low to mid 70's and lows are around 50.

Monorail: To get to DTD, the monorail leaves from Tomorrowland (just above Finding Nemo Subs) and goes directly to DTD right beside ESPN Zone. Its super easy and convenient to do this trip with the Monorail but you will need to use park tickets if you want to take the trip back into DL from DTD.
