East coast beaches

DH and I think we may spend a day out on the East Coast at one or more of the beaches when we're there at Easter.

We have been before to Cocoa Beach and also to Daytona a couple of years ago - but were wondering if any of you have any particular favourites? Or recommendations of things to see/do over on that side of Florida.

We stopped for a night at New Smyrna beach, which was OK, http://www.nsbfla.com/

But I would recommend booking if you plan to stay overnight. Most of the hotels were full and we went out of season.

We've also visited Disney's Vero Beach resort, which was very nice and had its own stretch of life guarded beach. We drove out there for the day, ate in the restaurant, used the beach and then came back to Orlando.

We stayed at New Smyrna Beach a couple of years ago (about half an hour's drive from Daytona), at the Islander Beach Resort, and found it pleasant
