easiest way to get from CSR to poly?

We will be staying CSR next weekend and would like to visit the Boardwalk. What is the easiest way to get back and forth since I've read that there isn't a direct bus.

Also, we have ressies for the late luau at Poly. I'm I right thinking that we can take a bus back and forth? How late do the buses run?

I think I will try going to MGM then to BW. I think that is better than going to DtD then to BW. I assume there is a bus from the TTC to BW but I don't know for sure.

From CSR to BW....agree go to MGM and take the boat or walk to BW.
As far as CSR to Poly....I would call a taxi
You could take the bus to MK and then the monorail or boat to Poly. But you will be goinig to the late Luau, so I am not sure how late the MK buses run.
Or you could take a bus to DTD then to TTC, then walk or monorail to Poly......but.....you'll be on the bus a long time.
If you have ressies for the Luau, I would not take the chance with the buses running late,etc. And you could very well be on the buses for an hour.

I would opt for the taxi....I have heard it is only around $10. To me that is worth it not to worry about getting there on time.

Mario is right! MGM is right across the street from Broadwalk and easy to get to from CSR to MGM to Broadwalk.

For the Poly. You can take the bus from CSR to TTC and walk to the Poly. We walked from TTC to Ohanas, it takes about 5 minutes and it's a lovely stroll!

The TTC is so close to the Poly that it is almost part of the resort. The walk is short but can be a little disconcerting in the dark due to winding paths. Fear not! Just keep going west and you'll get where you're going. The paths are actually well-marked if you read the signs. (You might mention to the driver you're going to the Poly. It's just conceivable s/he would drop you off there after the TTC.)

But if there is not a DIRECT bus to TTC at that time, I'd say definitely take a cab. Transferring through Downtown Disney is not an appealing option.

CSR TO POLY I WOULD TAKE BUS TO MK AND BOAT (IN FRONT) TAKE TO POLY!

That stroll seems nice from the TTC to the Polynesian. MAybe Piglet203 and I will do that when we eat at 'Ohana's, since we're also staying at the CSR. I can't wait to be there...only a few more weeks.

csr-poly: we did something similar last year (all-stars to poly). we just took the bus to mk, and then the resort monorail.

i also agree with everyone about going to mgm to get to the boardwalk. we're staying at csr in a ocuple weeks and that is what we had planned too.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the buses to the MK run more frequently than the busses to the TTC do? I would think that it would be easier to take a bus to the MK, and then a boat or the resort monorail to the Poly. If the monorail and boats aren't running after dinner, you can walk to the TTC and take a bus back to your resort from there.

I know that when we stay at POR I haven't noticed many busses going to the TTC when we have been waiting at the bus stops.

Take a bus to Epcot - Then monorail to the TTC for MK, when you arrive at TTC get off and just walk the @ 10+mins to the Luau instead of getting back on the MK monorail for a 3 min wait-n-ride to the Poly. Just follow the right side after exiting the TTC to a paved walkway and you'll see the first of the poly resort buildings in about 2 mins of your journey.

Wow!! Thanks to everyone that helped answer my questions. We've never stayed on site, so this all new to us. Since there's not a direct bus from CSR to Poly, we'll probably just drive. We'll have to draw straws for who will be the designated driver.
