Easiest to get

My family are new members and are using our points for a Disney cruise and then stay at Saratoga Springs (home) this July . My question is what is the easiest rooms to get at the 7 month window, example studio, one bedroom, etc....and at each of the different DVC resorts? We would be going during school breaks because of DD's are school age and DW is a teacher . The main reason I ask this is because we own 210 points and wonder if we should add on if it is harder to get studios at the 7 month window. Thanks in advance.

As a rule weekends are easier than weekdays but a lot more expensive. For HH 2 BR are easiest but school breaks are tough there regardless, reason most units 2 BR. For VB, studios and Inn rooms are easiest, esp Inn rooms, reason is that is the predominant room type there. For OKW, BCV, BWV, SSR & AKV, I think 1 BR are easiest because they are twice as expensive as a studio. Overall VB, OKW & SSR will be the easiest to get all of these times when school is out. With planning you can make all of these times work. The most difficult to get will be 3 BR units at any of the resorts that have them, anything at HH (esp for summer), BWV BW view rooms, BCV 2 queen 2 BR units and BWV standard view. VWL and BCV will generally be harder simply because there are less units. Regardless, with planning and a little effort, you can make it work for those times.
