Hi everbody,

Is it easier to go from AK to MK, or AK to EP? Trying to decide whether to do yak and yeti with nemo tix on a day we'll spend the eve at EP or a day we'll spend eve at MK.

It's 1:55 Yak and Yeti, 3:15 Nemo, 9:00 Wishes dessert party (neither is emh this day)
vs.
1:30 Yak and Yeti, 3:15 Nemo, 7:00 Chefs de France (AK is EMH morning this day)

FYI we'll have hoppers and stay on site. What do you think? Both days are the same predicted crowd level overall, other than the emh sitch.

TIA

I was about to say it would probably be a wash. However, I seem to recall some people saying that if you catch a park bus from another park to MK, it would drop you off at the TTC rather than in front of MK like the resort buses. Someone please correct me if I'm misinformed. The TTC transfer certainly adds some time to the trip. So, if that's the case, then I'd say it's slightly faster to get to EPCOT, since you'd be dropped off right in front of the EPCOT gates.

Check out the "Transportation Wizard" on ourlaughingplace.com.:goodvibes

Respectfully, the last time I checked out that site, it was badly outdated, often inaccurate and didn't even include some modes of transportation from one place to another.

;) But don't necessarily trust it.

There isn't a huge amount of difference between the two. Pick whichever one works best in your plans.

I would do the MK day. You could take the bus from AK to the contemporary and walk over to MK with lots of time, being the dessert party is at 9.

I was going to say the same thing. That is definitely the quickest of any of the Disney Transportation options to either park.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Taking a bus to EPCOT straight from AK is quicker and easier than taking a bus from AK to CR, then having a 5-10 minute walk added on to it.

I stand corrected. Forgot there was a direct bus. Thanks for the correction.

MK is the one park that's screwed up with the park-to-park transportation, where you have to transfer at the TTC. The other parks - it's just a straight bus ride to the front gates.

Thank you all for your help! I didn't know there were busses straight from AK to EP and didn't know there was a transportation wizard on ourlaughingplace!

BTW, my now 26-year-old was Ed Grimley for his 3rd Halloween for trick-or-treating!

My question is would it be worth it to take the bus from AK to one of the Epcot resorts and use the international gate?

I wouldn't think so. I mean, you could do it, but it would be so much easier (not to mention faster) to just take the bus from AK to Epcot.

I am learning more everyday but I still have tons to learn. What do you mean by Nemo Tix? Is there something I missed?

If you have an ADR for Tusker (sorry, I think I put Yak and Yeti - It's Tusker) for between 1 and 1:40, you get tickets for the 3:15 Finding Nemo musical.

Is that like a fastpass? Do they have "tickets" for Nemo normally? Do I have to have tickets?

No, you do not need tickets to see Nemo. Going to lunch at Tusker House between 1:00 and 1:40 gets one priority seating to Nemo, much like the Fantasmic Dinner Package. It allows you to not stand in line for the show as long, and you are guaranteed a seat in a good location.

It could be called the Nemo Lunch Package, I suppose.

So it is just for lunch? We are doing the Safari Breakfast?

Yes, just for lunch, and just during certain times. I think it's if you have an adr between 1:00 and 1:40, but I could be off by a couple minutes.
