ease of resort changing - am I crazy

I'd love to hear how the trip goes with all that moving...I for one could never do it....2 moves is enough for me and the shortest I'm staying at the other hotel is 3 nights....

Good luck with your adventure..

I don't think you're crazy for wanting to try 3 resorts, but there's a lot of bouncing back and forth between OKW and BCV between May 14th and 23rd. Why not try to get BCV for May 14th-19th, and then OKW for May 19th-23rd. Or is that the problem??? You can't get those dates consecutively at those resorts??

It's not impossible, but I like to get to the DVC resort, settle in, put my clothes in the drawers, stock the fridge and be done with it.

We stayed 3 different places last June--it wasn't bad at all.

This year(with DVC) we are staying

1-BCV-studio--4 nights
2-BCV-1 bdrm--3 nights
3-Vero Beach--2 nights
4-RPR-(universal)--2 nights
5-BWV-1 bdrm--4 nights

Not to mention-one hotel in Tallahassee on the drive down and one hotel in Mobile on the drive home.

We don't have the points to stay the weekend in a 1 bdrm at BCV. I'll be sure and post how all the moving goes!

For our first three trips we changed hotels three times. Now we still change rooms (not necessarily the resorts)on the weekends due to wanting to conserve on points. It is not that big of a problems and we enjoy being able to make our stay longer.

For our upcoming two week trip, we are at five different resorts! We have a cheapy the first night, then two nights at PBH, five nights at OKW, 2 nights in Tampa, six nights at BCV. We were going to stay someplace else the last night to conserve points, but decided that we just didn't want to move again. But your schedule is kind of the pits. You may have some luck on the waitlist within the 30 day window though. I always have (I'm always wanting to stay at BCV too), but you need to let them know to keep you on the lists. My plan is to pack light and do laundry several times. We don't usually use the bellhops for transfers, we just put the luggage in our car. Good luck! Diana

Our first trip home we were in 5 different resorts.
BWV, BCV, back to BWV, AKL then to Vero. It was a little over the top because I never quite felt settled in. Now we try to limit to just 1 hop per trip.

However, for the most part the experience at all the different places outweighed my 'unsettled' feeling so I have no regrets. I'm not one who has to unpack, so I just kept everything in suitcases and did just like ktbugsmom, brought our bags to the bell hop on check out morning, went off to a park and came back in the afternoon to check in. Never had an issue. I found the
process the smoothest I've ever encountered anywhere.

My only other suggestion if you like to swim is throw your bathing suits in a back pack you take to the park with you, in case your room isn't ready and/or the luggage hasn't been transferred over by the time you get to the new resort.

Just an update for everyone. Our waitlist came through and helped our crazy reservation (3 days before our trip).
