Earthquake during breakfast today...

We had a 3.5 earthquake this morning at approx 7:30 am.
It was centered here in Hollister.

Hollister is Quake central... we shake a little bit all the time. It is something that we are used to... but it does stun you a little every time it happens.

This mornings quake was the long "shake and roll'' type of quake....

As I was eating my breakfast we began to quiver and then got a good shake.... it felt like it was coming right thru the floor boards....

No news reports of damage... Yay!

Yeah - a 3.5 in the middle of the action is definetly noticable! I didn't feel the last one that we had, but my DS was upstairs and felt it. Just a part of living in the Golden State!

It doesn't look like it was felt very far away, but where it was felt it was fairly "feelable". LOL

Oh gosh! I don't think I could ever get used to that! I'd be running for doorcases every second. (*scratching head*wondering WHY I would do that? )
You guys over on the west coast are very brave. The ground shook here once a few months ago, and I freaked out!! At first I thought it was a truck going by, but it got more serious and before I could even sit up in bed it was over. We aren't suppost to get earthquakes, and I think it started in New Hampshire, so I wanna blame them. I did find out that I don't like the ground moving.
Come to the east coast, we are on a little steadier ground, just stay away from NH, I still don't know what they were doing to make that happen.

Earthquakes are NO FUN! What a way to start the day!

I lived through the Whittier quake & the Northridge quake. After the Northridge quake, we packed our bags & moved to Michigan. That was more than enough for me to hang the "for sale" sign out! As long as I live, I will never forget all that shaking that horrible morning & I'm not just talking about the quake!!
