(Feel free to answer in French whether you prefer to do so!)

I am going to visit WDW with my Mom soon. As she doesn't understand English very well, I am looking for (updated) information about "Ears to the World."

1. Do you know how well the translation works? It is easy to use? Is it reliable? How accurate is the translation? Any issue we should be aware about it?

2. On the official website, Disney indicates that a $25 deposit is required, whereas wdwinfo.com states that a $100 deposit is required. Do you know what the current charge is?

3. Do you know whether the device is still similar to the one pictured in this thread (back in 2011), or is it smaller now? http://www.disboards.com/threads/ears-to-the-world.2758854/#post-41842313

Hopefully you found the answers to your questions but if not I would just call or email Disney about this directly and see what they say.
