I got my ears pierced for the first time when I was a couple months old. The doctor ordered my parents to take them out. He was afraid my ears would get infected.
My parents started pressuring me to get them pierced when I was about three. My dad was going to do it for me. No way in heck was I going to allow him to do that. I got them repierced at a jewellery store when I was four. (I moved my head when the gun was going through my left earlobe.)
By the time I turned 14, my left earring hole was unbearable. I got just the left ear repierced. The hole, somehow, closed up. Possibly I was using the original earring hole the entire time. I don't really don't know. I was wearing my typical studs, when I felt that all too familiar pain in my left ear.
Back in March, I pulled both studs out of my ears, and haven't put anything back in since.
Earrings were not for me.
